Hi Queen! Loved your shopping update! Jas sure did get some nice clothes!! LOVED your Minnie hand soap thingy!! Definatly agree about the make up being cheaper down there! I think that we stayed at that hotel on a trip down to Minneapolis to fly to Florida! We were going to try and do it in one shot, but couldn't! We tried the Holiday Inn and a few others, but no luck, and someone suggested the Ramada, and they had room! Not sure if that is where you stayed, but it looks very similar! Loved how Peg's girls are making the Build a Bear, that is very sweet! Definalty made with a lot of love and thought! I hope you all are doing well!!

Yes, it's the Ramada right across from Granite City! I would stay there again in a heartbeat...it was so close to everything too!

The soap in the Minnie dispenser smells like strawberries!!!

Great shopping trip!!! We have that soap too, my kids love it, but were shocked that I bought soap that WASN'T Bath & Body Works!! (I used to work there well until quite recently, it was my second job) but I assured them we could put the BBW foaming soap in it. The bottle was too cute!!

Queen did you find some cute things too? I need to go clothes shopping, lately I am so picky and cannot find much that I like. The younger ones have no problem huh? lol

I have spend last night and today reading your last TR and catching up on this PTR and I have to say that you and your daughter are so charming!
I was hooked....had to keep reading.
Jasmine is a very sweet, kind and pretty young lady. You should be very proud!
I would give anything to have her figure.

I really enjoyed how you described the trip and ADR details and love all the pics.
The "life" updates were fun too!

You had me cracking up with all the weather and snow chatter.
Sitting here now I am so happy that is behind us....until next winter.

I am a HUGE cross border shopper!!!
Luckily I'm only 1hr away from Walmart and a grocery store and 2-3 hrs away from Target etc.
It's such a good feeling to find a great deal or bring home that something special that you can't find here.

On to the purchases and I love the JC Penney jacket, Forever 21 and TJ Maxx dresses- what great buys!

Loving the makeup - you can never have too much of that!

It was definitely a very quiet car ride...Jeff sleeping, Jas reading and me drinking my coffee

That jacket has gotten a lot of wear since we got home because our weather hasn't been the greatest

It's funny what you said about not spending as much $ in the name brand stores when it's their own $ they are spending.
Congrats on the CHI purchase.
It will probably be a few years before Jas needs another one, but I found out that if you're able to keep checking in TJ Maxx, they will carry Chi & other name-brand hair straightners for dirt cheap.
I just bought a awesome straightener from TJ Maxx last week & I was so excited about my find.

It's so funny you say that...we hit the highway and Jasmine realized she forgot the pillows on the couch

Jasmine works at the Canadian equivalent of TJ Maxx and she has lucked in on Coach purses, wallets and other items but never a straightner

You guys definitely scored!! I love those dresses Jas picked up from TJ Maxx! I might have to head out there today!

Great purchases! It sounds like you had a nice time, and you got some great bargains!!!

I don't know if I told you. I drop $100 nearly every time I go into Target. I had to stop going there- Once a week adds up... We get prescriptions there and I send dh to pick them up so that I am not tempted.

sounds like you had an amazing trip! We love our shopping trips down to the states and am heading down there next week. Can I ask where you bought your MAC make-up? I usually buy here at The Bay and it is so expensive. Is the MAC quite a bit cheaper down there? I may have to add that to my shopping list!!

We really did! Are you guys going to Fargo? Jasmine actually bought that makeup in the Cayman Islands when she was on her cruise...she told me I had to include it in the pics because we're taking it with us I agree with it being so expensive at The Bay!

Queen, great shopping updates. Love all the dresses Jasmine got -- very cute. Sorry Kohl's was such a disappointment (I actually did really well there before our April Florida trip). The hotel looks really nice (I may have missed it -- what hotel was it?).

I bought a cardiagan for work with a matching cami, a dress for work and 2 pairs of shoes...one casual and one dressy for work!! Jasmine lucks in whenever wherever we go.... me...not so much

There is a huge difference in prices...it's quite surprising! I was shocked at the difference in food prices too! We do a huge grocery shop right before we hit the road on our way home!

Seeing that Minnie dispenser every morning when I walk into the kitchen makes me smile....and the soap smells so good!

Thank you for your kind words...they laid my cousin to rest yesterday and it was a very hard time for my family! My poor aunt is really stuggling...it's one thing to loose a spouse, but loosing a child I don't know if you ever recover from no matter how old they are

I will definitely have another update done this weekend....gotta get on with the planning part!!!

Yup heading to Fargo. I have checked around on the Mac make-up and was told to check Macy's, Nordstoms and even Walgreens. I can't imagine though that I haven't seen it at Macy's in the past though - not like I shop there....
