We could use a few prayers

Hi guys, there are probably a lot of you who don't know me but I have had some contact with some of the most polite and uplifting people you'll ever meet on this site. I hope I don't sound selfish but here goes. My baby brother (24 years old who lives with me) has decided to fight for our country. He will be leaving Monday heading out for basic training in Georgia and has agreed to 4 years active duty with the armed forces. As children we learned to depend on each other and have always been really close, so for me I feel like this is my child leaving. I am a little sad and worried for his future safety, so I ask for you-my dis family to pray for his safe return. I appreciate all who take time to read this and all who say a little prayer for him (and me ).

Thanks everyone, keep praying for our family. We will be seeing him off in the morning. We will drop him off in Morganton, NC and he will go to Charlotte, NC then Tuesday he will go to Fort Benning in Georgia.

Chell- I live in Banner Elk, was just in Boone last night, we took him out to eat! I used to live in Lenoir and worked in Granite Falls so I have been to Hickory quiet a few times

Wow, it hasn't even been a week since my baby brother left and I already feel such a void I feel selfish but I am trying to be positive. He will graduate on November 11th from basic, so I can go down 2 days prior to visit him so I look forward to that. Just keep us in your prayers, this has really gotten me depressed. I am proud to have a brother that would risk his life so we can be free. Thanks to all who have and who will send a special prayer out
