The Timeshare Store said it would be 4-6 weeks before Disney will recognize us as owners. Is this a true picture? Do you think I will be able to make an Easter reservation for next year? The 11 mo. window would start on April 26th for us. That is really cutting it close! Also, are VWL harder to book because there are less rooms? I'm anxious!! :Pinkbounc

I dunno, but...

It's 4-6 weeks for them to send you info. Call now, I bet you're in the computer. I closed my VWL with the Timeshare store on a Friday and was in the computers that Wednesday!

and......

Welcome Home!

Unless DVC just made a major change to their resale contract procedure, you got a bum steer from your broker.

I just completed a resale in early February, handled by Jerry at the Timeshare Store. We were in the DVC reservation system 3 business days after the Timeshare Closing Service closed the sale. Upon close, the closing service will: (a) send the deed to the county to be recorded, (b) send the proceeds to the seller, minus any outstanding commissions/dues/mortgage, and (c) send a copy of the deed title transfer to DVC.

Call member services later this week. I think you'll find some good news.

My experience had been similar to those above. However, our recent resale closed sometime last week and the points were still not on DVC records today. I'm betting that they will be there by the end of this week, as has happened to us in the past.

Yes, I hope you're in the system sooner.

Welcome Home!

Call MS and ask if you are in.

Congratulations and Welcome Home :)

And welcome to our little community on the DIS!

Hi,

Congrats & Welcome home!!!

Update from my post above:
MS was having trouble finding the add-on listed on our contract (we closed last week) but when I called again today the points were there, so maybe the CM was just new. Call MS!!

Congratulation on your purchase and welcome home.

I do not think you will have a problem with the reservations for next easter. I would be surprized if a DVC resort was not available. It may not be your first choice; however, I would take whatever is available and place your name on the waitlist.

Good luck and enjoy!

Congratulations and welcome home - we're waiting for our resale to close and look forward to joining you!:earsgirl: :earsboy: :wizard: princess:
