We just returned Saturday from a week's stay at the World. I have polled our group, and here are our opinions of the eateries that we experienced.

Table Service:
Chef Mickey's--very poor service but good character interaction, good food quality, especially for a buffet. My gluten/casein allergic kid got VERY special attention from the awesome chef. He went out of his way to make the meal special for us. Don't miss: parmesan potatoes, pasta with cream sauce.
The Wave--amazing service-ask for Aziz! The food was even better. What a wonderful meal! Don't miss: crab cake appetizer, agave nectar margarita, creme brulee, coconut panna cotta.
Le Cellier--service was efficient but brusque and got better as the meal progressed. We were wary about this restaurant because of all of the negative reviews but were pleasantly surprised by fantastic food. Although, the cheddar cheese soup was pretty good but not as great as I had hoped. Don't miss: pretzel bread, tenderloin, maple creme brulee.
Sci-Fi--service was great, food was just okay. Stick to the basics so you won't be disappointed: burgers, fries, milkshakes. Don't miss: well...I wish I could think of something, but I can't. In my opinion, this is not a good way to spend your DDP TS credits.
'Ohana breakfast--service was good, character interaction was terrific. Food was simple but plentiful and was very good. Don't miss: sausage, potatoes, and the special juice with guava and passion fruit.
T-Rex--service was okay, food was mediocre and outrageously expensive (appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks for 4 was over $60.) Go there for the atmosphere but not for the food. It was also horribly crowded and loud, and we ate at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. If it were cheaper, quieter, and the food better...we would go back. Don't miss: walking through the restaurant to see the dinosaurs---and then LEAVE. :crazy2:
Teppan Edo--friendliest and nicest people on the planet! The entire staff was stellar and that is why we will go back. The food was very good, but it wasn't it much different from your typical local slice and dice. The mixed drinks were way too sweet and we will not order them again. Don't miss: sushi sampler, sparkling saki, and chocolate ginger cake.
'Ohana dinner--service was competent and quick. Some in our group missed the scalloped potatoes since they are no longer on the menu. The pork and steak were a thumbs up, the shrimp and turkey were just pretty good. Don't miss: Dumplings, bread pudding, and the best part of the meal...a Lapu Lapu!!! :drinking1:

Counter Service:
Contempo Cafe--Food was good, the restaurant was clean and never too crowded. Don't miss: Turkey club sandwich, breakfast burrito.
Pecos Bills--Food was fine. Fixins bar is good. The new order screens are very convenient.
Tangierine Cafe (Morocco)--Food is AWESOME! Don't miss: Shawarma platters are the stuff dreams are made of. :cloud9:
Yakitori House (Japan)--The Japanese curry and ginger cake are quite good.
Sommerfest (Germany)--Love, love, love the bratwurst, pretzels, and the sauerkraut. Don't forget to add mustard! We were pleasantly surprised that you can order a pretzel as a dessert on the DDP. The seating is very limited and we ended up eating on a park bench.
Yorkshire County Fish Shop (England)--The chips are good, the fish is not. :sad2:
Kringla Bakeri (Norway)--School bread. Oh. my. Gosh.
Cantina (Mexico)--I stood in a non-moving line for 15 minutes before giving up and getting a margarita for me and churros for the kids at the Margarita stand. The margarita was pretty crummy but the churros were fantastic!
Flame Tree BBQ--we are from North Carolina and are VERY picky about our BBQ! But...everyone really liked this place--except for the very, very sweet baked beans. The desserts, key lime pie and chocolate mousse, were very good-especially for counter service. The setting is lovely!
Pizza Planet--we went in expecting nothing after hearing terrible reviews and were pleasantly surprised. That's the one good thing about low expectations! :rotfl2: The pizza was really decent. Hot, fresh, and grilled veggies on mine were yummy. The salads were 'meh.' After ordering, go directly upstairs to avoid crowds and children being sucked in by video games! :rotfl:
POP Century Food Court--Always crowded and crazy, but food was tasty. Tie-dye cheesecake is really good if you can get past the color! Don't miss: Chocolate croissants.

THE WINNERS:

TS---The Wave
CS---Tangierine Cafe

THE LOSERS:
TS---T-Rex
CS---Cantina de San Angel

Great Job summing up your dining for us. :thumbsup2

I can't wait to get there to try all these foods and place I've only heard about.

Thanks for sharing!
