We Bought Dvc At Akl!!!!

DH suprised me with the down payment for DVC - in cash! he had been saving up and we went to the information visit - we got 200 points for AKL! Our points are for Dec. We also got 200 points for SSR as an incentive that we have to use by sept 2009 - so we will be coming back next year! Having fun while we are here too!

Welcome Home, we also own at AKV. We bought 160 points Sept. 2007 on DCL, and have already added on 100 more points. We love it!!

This is a hot button issue Michelle, and many different answers. Disney does offer financing at all different types of plans. When we purchased (8 years ago) at BCV's we put down 1/2 and financed through our bank for the other half. Along with that you also have annual maintence dues.
The reason why this is a hard question is of course some people feel dvc and disney deluxes are not worth the money, some folks think it is not good to go into debt for a luxury item.

My best advice is to talk to a guide (salesperson). Disney is very low key, I was not pushed in any way. In fact after I took my tour, it was 2 years before we actually brought.

Also you don't have to buy from disney, there are many dvc's sold (resale)at the timeshare store from individuals at a much cheaper price.

We did get incentives - we got 200 points for SSR to use by 9/16/09 so we are going to suprise IL's with a family trip - us & them in August 2009 and then suprise my parents with a trip for us & them in 2010 for Nov's Jersey Week.
