We bit the bullet, did we make a mistake?

Thanks everyone, the more I think about it the happier I am with the decision! The kids are so excited, now they are trying to convince DH and I to go sooner then next summer!

And to play devils advocate on the issue of two weeks in a two bedroom a year, I could book 5 nights in a 2 bedroom DVC and pay cash at another resort for two nights and we could do that twice a year within the 320 points.

we're thinking about buying.

..is this right?....by having 160 points in 2 different resorts,

..& alternating banking/borrowing...one can booked @ the 11~mos,

..@ both resorts, combining 320 points? [ i thought, you could only book
@ the 11~mos,...just using the 160 points "assigned" to the resort....& had
to wait....to "add'..the other 160 points @ 7mos.? ]


oh, it stuff like this.,....that's driving me....!

currently...we are leaning toward..."3", 107 contacts.....@ blt, since
we have 3 kids. but would it serve us better to have 2 home
resorts? [ that is, what the advantage , having all 321 @ blt? ]

on a side note,
we also having been doing alot cruises..but most feel that is a
waste of points..in most cases..but if disney opens the hawaii resort
& the wonder does....one way trips...to the island....might be a
neat option.

Yes, if you have two 160 point contracts, let's say for arguments sake you have 160 at AKV and 160 at BLT. You can bank this year's 160 AKV points and next year take a 320 point vacation. On the alternate year, you will have banked last year's 160 BLT points, for a total of a 320 point vacation at BLT. So, you will travel to AKV on 320 points one year and to BLT on 320 points the next year. The hardest part will taking your first vacation on only 160 points at one of the resorts (you will be banking the other 160 for next year's 320 point vacation in order to get the ball rolling).

well then, they're giving credit for this year points, thus adding them
...onto next year , would equal 642 total..for 2010....as we plan
...on starting, christmas, 2010.

....we know nothing bout, the animal k. resorts, will they be
tough to land, a studio or one- bedroom @ 7 mos. ?

..and to do this & match up with our orginal plans.....could we still
do.....2 contacts [ 107 ] @ btl... then one {107 points} @ animal
kingdom?

... this seem to take away the primary advantage, of having all
321 points....@ btl?
