Oh Yikes! That was fast Marshay! Awesome...but fast!

The Fleagles are getting prepared for your arrival. We start our trip tomorrow after I get back from rehearsal. Does that sound good?

However, I am big on Pre-planning! For your trip with us you'll need to pack the following:

1. Earplugs...remember we have 4 kids, and even in this virtual road trip they will drive you nuts.

2. Sunglasses, sunblock, and some chapstick.

3. A notebook and several #2 pencils

4. Don't forget your camera.

5. Tennis shoes or sneakers.

6. Water bottle are a must and I'll supply the snacks.

7. Finally, some dramamine and/or a barf bag. ;)

Anything else I be sure to mention prior to your arrival. Until then here are our travelling music picks.

All right friends and family.... I'm doing laundry and getting things ready for you. :laundy:

See what happened when I didn't get to read your leg before I posted mine??? You had the coolest travelling music EVER!! (I didn't even THINK of having travelling music.....) (and they probably hated me singing the whole time too)

Ok friends...last stop is very special to me!

My childhood home was just one block from the Chesapeake Bay. It was almost daily (in the summer) that I would walk down my street, walk over the sand dunes, and hang out on Bay Lake Beach which was a "private" part of the Cheasapeake Bay Beach for our neighborhood.

From there I could see the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.

chesapeake1_bridge_1.jpg

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel (CBBT) is a 23 mile (37 km) long facility that connects Delmarva Peninsula with southeastern Virginia. It crosses the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay and connects the independent cities of Virginia Beach and Norfolk, Virginia to Cape Charles in Northampton County along with the rest of the eastern shore of Virginia. It is also one of the 7 Engineering Wonders Of The World!

I love that area Amy.....our last trip there we took the kids over the bridge and we commented on the boats underneath us. Talking about who they were and what they must be thinking about and how they were looking up at us too.

Once we got to the hotel, I found a place that rented us the ricketiest (sp?) boat ever. And we took it out into the ocean and went dolphin searching. Too great. Then we decided to go under the bridge in the same spot we watched people the day before. After that we went over the bridge portion that is submerged. Honestly a perfect day!

Now that I know that THE roller coaster I MUST ride is in the area too....I just have to go back and soon!

Your leg of the trip so trumped mine....thanks for a great time Amy!

I have been chatting here with myself for hours......I already passed the baton.

Guess I really should go to bed already!

So, really, this time, I mean it, really, good night. Really.

Did I hear someone come in??????????

Ok, really. :cloud9:

Great burger and fries, just wish I hadn't eaten them before going on the rides :lmao:

Great trip Ann! Thanks for the tour and the nice visit! Must admit I love burgers.....so that was especially yummy!

I didn't included King's Dominion in mine.....probably should have, but I didn't.
Oops......in hind sight I missed a few places...oh well.

Thanks again! Have a great day at WORK! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Atlanta Stadium, which officially opened in 1965, is featured in the photo below behind the Braves new stadium Turner Field (named after Ted Turner).

turner70.jpg

In 1976 the team was purchased by media magnate Ted Turner, owner of superstation WTBS, as a means to keep the team (and one of his main programming staples) in Atlanta. The financially-strapped Turner used money already paid to the team for their broadcast rights as a down-payment. It was then that Atlanta Stadium was re-named Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium.

Turner Field was originally constructed as the 85,000-seat Centennial Olympic Stadium and used for the Centennial 1996 Summer Olympics. Immediately after the 1996 Summer Paralympics, which followed the Olympics, much of the north end of stadium was removed in order to convert it to its permanent use as a 49,000-seat baseball park. The stadium has hosted the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball since 1997.

The best place to get your pre-game meals has got to be The Varsity.

The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) is the world’s premier outdoor recreation and environmental education center. Alongside mountain-biking and running trails, a climbing center, and challenge course, the park’s unique feature is a multiple-channel, customized whitewater river for rafting and canoe/kayak enthusiasts of all abilities.

The USNWC is only 10 minutes from downtown Charlotte and provides over 300 acres of woodlands along the scenic Catawba River. Olympic-caliber athletes, weekend warriors and casual observers share this world-class sports and training center.

Inspired by the successful Penrith Whitewater Stadium built for the 2000 Olympics and the stadium built for the 2004 Athens Games, the USNWC is the world’s only multi-channel recirculating whitewater river. The USOC has designated the USNWC an official U.S. Olympic Training Site.

The national governing body for the sport, USA Canoe and Kayak (USACK) has also designated the Center as its new home. The USNWC hosts World Cup competitions and Olympic Trials, and serves as the home of international Olympic athletes.

On the food theme tour............there is a great restaurant on site (serving yummy wings among other things) that overlooks the water. Just beautiful!

I love the Coca Cola place. Do they have a cool shop with coca cola goodies, like the place in Epcot? I have some dollars burning a hole in my pocket, love to take something home from here and the Coca Cola Polar Bear was so cute.

I think, that with all the food we are eating, we may be putting a few pounds on. Hope we are getting plenty of exercise on our trip too.:goodvibes

Wow, that Aquarium is incredible! Very Very Very nice!
So much to see........ Thanks for sharing!

I was so excited to hear yesterday that the Georgia Aquarium will be adding a dolphin show in the next few years!! I've been telling DH that was the only thing missing!

And if you don't mind BTM...I'd like to chime in with a few of my own GA Aquarium pics...
