We are stunned by the compassion that MS has shown us!

I'm so glad to hear that the CMs treated you with compassion. Tell your DH to hang in there(you too!). My very best friend has Crohn's and is able to manage it quite well with a few bad days here and there. All will be well and you will be enjoying Disney SOON. :goodvibes

I hope your husband feels better soon! :goodvibes

It is so nice to read a positive story... we often spend so much time focused on the negative that we forget there is a reason we all love Disney soooo much!

Prayers and best wishes for your family...

Thinking of you and your family! Thanks for sharing that MS has made a tough week a tiny bit easier to handle. I think the pixie dust you had this week will follow you to get that Christmas trip you will be planning!

Very good of Disney to extend you assistance and compassion. Hoping for a good treatment regimen for your husband and a grand holiday gathering for your family later this year.

Back in the late 90's, my wife's father was having heart issues and we had to cancel just 5 days into a 2-week stay. We actually took care of everything at a DVC kiosk in the MK. Remaining points were not only returned to us, but were put back into our regular account (not the special 60-day one) and we were able to bank them into the next year's trip.

This story bolstered my faith in both DVC and human nature. Just before your thread, I read one about where someone complained because they were not informed about a shuttle between the two portions of AKV that stopped at 9PM. They actually got a refund of money because they weren't informed of that. I was beginning to think DVC was shelling out "rebates" for frivolous matters. Your situation though, shows that they are truly still doing the "Disney Magic" for real emergencies too!:thumbsup2 I hope your DH feels better soon, and you can reschedule that trip for another time.

Just wishing DH a speedy recovery and thoughts/prayers for you all. WDW will be there when he is better and I am happy that everything went well with Disney.

It had to take a lot of stress off of you right now.

Sorry you had to cancel your trip, but most importantly I hope your hubby gets well and you can enjoy a nice vacations together soon.

:grouphug: Hoping that you and the kids and your husband will be able to make some great family memories before school starts again, and that your next Disney experience will be even better.

I am glad to hear that Disney did the right thing....so nice of them. I hope that your husband gets feeling better. My son was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis when he was 15. He went from 160 pouds to 105 in a matter of a month. He was on Aesocol for 13 years and was in great health until a year ago and the same things all happened. His last resort this time was an intravenous shot of Remicad every 2 months. DO NOT have surgery until every last option has been used!

Sorry to hear of your husband's illness and I hope he feels better very soon. It is nice to hear that Disney is still making magical moments for some guests and that the CMs went above and beyond for you in your tough times!

Sorry you lost your vacation due to illness and I hope he feels better soon.

I am so glad MS took care of you. I was shocked when they refunded all of our points when were forced to leave HHI after the tornado hit our home so we have been a beneficiary of their kindness this year as well. It is such a special thing for a large company to transform into a caring friend when life deals you a blow because there are plenty who do not mind kicking you when you are down.

Glad to hear MS took care of you, and I hope your husband get well soon and you guys will be able to enjoy that trip a bit later on once everything settles down.

Well I am not making light of your families bad situation its good to read a more upbeat post of customer service, than whats been going around the board lately with the me me attitude and wanting credits and refunds for obscene requests.

My prayers and thoughts go out to your family.....

I am glad the Disney went way beyond in helping you. I will keep your family in our prayers.

Praying for you and your family...so nice to hear MS took care of you in that regard.

Hoping you will be able to take that vacation soon!!!

:grouphug: Many good thoughts, blessings and prayers for you, your husband and your family. Now that a diagnosis has been made, hopefully successful treatment is right behind it!

I'm very pleased to hear Disney has taken the time to show compassion in a way that many would not expect. :goodvibes

Whishing your family best and quick recovery. We have owned DVC since 2004 and have had good luck with MS over the years. We are afterall a big family at this Disney club.

Sorry to hear about your husband's health problems and wishing him well. Also glad to hear that MS and Disney in general were kind and compassionate in your time of need. Here's hoping that you will soon be planning your next vacation to WDW!

Thanks so very much for the continued support and well-wishes! My hubby is blown away by the wonderful messages too!

This morning we booked a holiday trip - added it to my signature and ticker. Hubby said it would make him feel better, with something to look forward to, as he is feeling a tremendous amount of guilt for us having to cancel our trip. We didn't borrow any points at all, and if we are able to make this trip work, we will actually be able to bank points. He has had 2 down days, so this seemed to make him feel better. He is not feeling so hot today, so he had fun creating the ticker with me.

We hope that his vacation time will work out! We are taking things hour by hour around here, and as he goes to more doc appointments, continues to take his meds and learns his trigger foods, he should be feeling better. We are still so grateful for all that Disney did for us, and hope that all will be well for a holiday trip!

Thanks so much, Tiger

I'm glad it worked out for you and your family and that you already scheduled your holiday vacation. I hope your husband continues to get better and the learning curve on his food triggers is short. That kind of learn as you go cannot be fun.

And may your next vacation be full of pixiedust:!
