Hi

We are staying at ASM for two weeks. It will be 2 adults and 3 kids. Two of which will be 23 month old twin boys. They are still in nappies and I was going to take our two week allowance with us, but my husband feels it will be a better idea to buy some out there so we only take a weeks allowance and go to Walmart. We dont have a car as my dh wouldnt pay the car rental price this year. I have mention about hiring a car for 3 days which will cover Seaworld, Universal and IOA whilst having the car we could go to Walmart, but my dh still wants to use Mears.

How do you get to Walmart if we are staying ASM? Do you recommend we hire a car for 3 days? I would be the one who will be driving as my dh has lost his written part of the licence he only has the picture card I have heard that they wont issue you a car if you do not have the full licence. I have never driven in Florida so I am a little worried. I am not a nervous driver here as long as I know where I am going I am ok. Just worried I will go on the wrong side of the road etc...

Please help!

Thanks

Regards
Michelle

hi there

We just got back from cuba for 3 weeks. Our youngest is 18 months and we took 3 packs of nappies and 2 packs of swimming nappies. It is surprissing if you bust open the packs and lay them flat, how many you can get in a case.

But I guess they are quite easy to get hold of in Disney, with or without a car, lets face it you cant be the only ones going without a car and a baby.

If you have the space in the case I'd take them. We went to Tunisia last year and got back with the last nappy

When I would travel over from the UK I would always bring stuff like that with me so that I had the extra space for carrying stuff back... however we usually ended running out of space anyways ;)

Just to give you and idea of cost... My daughter is 21 months old and still in diapers we use Pampers baby dry size 4 (upto 37 lbs) when I don't have coupons or they are not on sale they usually cost $9.50 for a 34 pack at my local store... Walmart is usually a few cents more expensive.

I don't know if this helps, but there is a company called wegoshop.com that will go to the grocery for you and pick up supplies for a fee. They seem to get pretty good reviews, and they could pick up your snacks, water and and such for the little guys.

I know I am not from the UK. Hope it is OK to still post here!

Have a lovely trip!

If you fancy the exercise, you could always use the transport to DTD then walk to the Goodings at crossroads. If you're getting a car/taxi etc. from the airport, why not ask for a grocery stop? DD is 4 months, but we've got a car so will take enough to get us there & buy once out there. Worse case scenario you could pay Disney prices in the shop at AS resort as I'm sure they'll stock them.

You are quite welcome and I'm very glad of the reminder about this company
