We are SSR owners Do they do anything for bday

My son is having a bday on trip down there this Oct. Does SSR do anything for Bdays. Like can we have a cake delivered there or will they have balloons waiting or anything like that.

disneyflorist.com has many different gift packs and such that can be ordered and delivered. We have used them on several occasions and have been very happy.

Be sure to let the front desk know at check in. For my wife's birthday in July Minnie Mouse sent a wonderful, hand written card and balloons! It was very festive and DW really enjoyed the surprise!

Let me add the advice that if there is something that you need to make sure will happen, arrange for it yourself. While Disney is better than most hotels about recognizing special days, reports have indicated that they are sometimes spotty. I recall a thread about a guest telling multiple DVC CMs about a special day and being told "we'll make sure to do something special" and nothing happened.

What Dr T said. There are tons of people down there celebrating bdays, honeymoons, anniversarys you name it. So if you want something really special to happen and don't want to be disappointed arrange it yourself.

I bought one of those great baskets from Peggy (farelpeg) and had it deliverd. Anything extra is pixie dust

When we were there with our niece for her B-Day they sent in a signed Minnie card and balloons. I didn't even realize I mentioned it was her B-Day when we checked in. A great surprise for her.

My BIL ordered a cake for my niece from Artist Palette in Dec. for her 3rd birthday. I believe it was about $12. SSR did send a Mickey/Minnie card with a balloon.

WE got Baloons and a card..but they came with WDW dollars from my sister a few years ago at SSR. Last year for our 14th anniversay we got baloons, a card , and a phone message 3 days after our anniversary(bcv)...but the thought was very nice(I wasn't expecting anything)
