Gwendolyn just saw the poster on the table...low and behold it is the first non crazy thing I have made...

she was actually excited and studying it!
So, we are back to just a party of "7"...Daddy and I kinda sorta talked Mom out of joining us!
Here, is the thing, mom fell out of a two story window when she was 16 and crushed her spine...well, beyond miracles (because of her age at the time she was told) she can walk. Well, fast forward 43 years later and extremely over weight...she has a very hard time walking for long periods of time. Not, only that but she does not listen

she was going to rent an EVC but had already insisted (although she was told no each time she brought it us) how Ashton did not need a stroller he would ride with her

...
So, I emailed Daddy the cost sheet and our itinerary so he would see what our plans were. He said it would be fine if my mom would be ok with going back to the resort and resting during the day. But, she said she was staying with us...well, Gwendolyn was very upset with this and said she was not going because she said that by the second day both my dad and I would be moody with her trying to keep up with us and not behaving like an adult with the safety of Ashton in mind. Not only that my dad does not like man made attractions...so, he would be getting tired of the way my mom would be acting and he would start with off the wall non-necessary comments...see where this is going

:
So, she agreed today that this is not her kind of vacation any longer

I hate that she can not hang in there with us...she loves Disney. so, Gwendolyn and Danny are very happy this afternoon and I'm in the middle. I know they would enjoy seeing the magic through Ashton's eyes the way they did with Gwendolyn & Dayne. But, at the same time happy not to have the added stress that goes along with extended family joining.
So, I told Danny that when we do return for Christmas (in a few years) hopefully she will be able to join us and we can do a laid back tour of the parks and Ashton will be old enough that we won't have to worry about the EVC.
