Thanks everyone for celebrating for me!

Hello! Everyone!!!
we wake up this morning to the reality that in 12 days we will be hitting the road :woohoo:...I sit here looking around this wonderful home of ours and think OMG! look at the mess...I can't go anywhere with my house like this...with the weather being SOOOOooooo beautiful we have been outside instead of in...so, I believe the chart maker in me is trying ever so hard to pop in to help(she has been gone for the last year, I have not seen her around since last WDW trip:laughing: ). I have also come the conclusion I just do not have time to host a red box party --with our WDW trip, and Dayne's graduation right when we come back it is just too much, I still have to sit down and get his announcements addressed and stamped to be put into the mail when the week we get back. So, I was thinking of spreading the magic...

I have been pulling up the weather charts for WDW every night...I'm getting so anxious; I know if I see rain I will be so upset with all the pretty weather we have been having...but, since I can't control that I will be buying rain gear this week! I had seen what appears to be some heavy duty ones at the dollar general.

Today, I think I'm going to visit the Dollar Tree and Michael's and next weekend go out and get our toietries....

So, let me leave you guys with this for the day...
in 12 days we hit the road:drive: and in
13 days we will be at the POP and in WDW!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me have it! We are doing DIsney themed nights once a week starting on the 23rd. I was planning on doing a night themed after our favorite places to eat while in WDW. This would fit in so perfectly. Just let me know. BTW, we'll be back at Lakeside on the 2nd of May. I don't know if you're driving back on that day or just the day before. If that's not fine. I could meet you in NO the next weekend maybe.

YAY on leaving in 12 days. I can't wait until we get to that point.

Thanks! We actually went down yesterday to visit with family and head to the strawberry festival. Oh, my how crowded it was.:scared1: We didn't stay long at all. Hopefully, disney won't be as bad. Will definitely be on look out for you in epcot! And I am all caught up (well on your updates anyway).

Megan,
I knew you would want it! ;) I can you meet this weekend; I'll let you know this week where. I'll try to come up with something half and half...I do know that I am about 1 hr and 15 min from Houma--if we take I55-310 (I'm 45 min from Lakeside--one time I'll have to meet you there just to meet up). Danny has a friend in Houma he may want to go visit...I'll send you a PM w/my info and a few ideas for us to hook up! {we will be driving back that first weekend in May}. I'm so happy ! I get to meet you and pass on the magic!! pixiedust:

Hey! Ashley
we rarely do the Strawberry Fest any more (I vounteered for about 5 years the entire weekend about 6 years back)...than, before Ashton came we would go on Friday nights. It is considered locals night. If any of our friends let us know they are coming we meet them but the weather was so pretty this weekend we knew it would be super crowded. I bet today was move the crowd room only :lmao:

I bought a bag today; I will take a picture this week and post it...still need to figure out how to make and attach a mickeyhead :confused3

Have a great one!

YAY!!!!!! I am so excited now! Thank you so much. Just let me know what you want to do meet up.

Today after I had wrote my post here; Gwendolyn and I got into a big argument. I really feel my house is too small for all six of us...I think if it is going to be another year before their house will be ready...they are going to have to find a cheap place to rent. (I want Danny to make them a small room in our garage--like a bedroom--but, he said no! only if she is not in a relationship :confused3: )... anyway, he is in the process of paying off all his bills and helping her with hers.

So, Ashton and I decided to hit the stores and get out of the house. Danny did not want to do anything away from the house (he had planned to cut the grass--which is a chore when you have about 2/2.5 acres to cut).

Ashton and I went to Michael's (they had all their disney stuff put away and were redoing the aisle), Dollar Tree (only bought magnet clips for the trip) everything else was for our pre-k. We, than, went to Ross's, Marshall's, Target, Shoe Carnival, and J C Penney's. I was looking for some more sandles for Ashton (the ones I bought two weekends ago are too big--note to self take socks off before trying on sandles). We bought a new lanyard (I misplaced Ashton's) from Target w/frogs and hearts on it,and I bought myself a bag for Disney. I bought Ashton two pair of shorts and one shirt and Danny one t-shirt from Penney's (Danny is hard to buy for he needs an XLT and not many stores carry it in store). I found Ashton a pair of Arizona sandles I really liked but they didn't have his size so I will have to go next Sunday and try the store in Hammond (I have a coupon for 20% off next Sunday). We also found a short set for Ashton at Ross' for 4.99 and a game/puzzle of first words. So, as always Ashton racked up! :rotfl:

Tomorrow I have to bring my aunt to the doctor; so, if I get a chance Tuesday I'll try and get a few pics to share...

I still need to create a mickey head w/my dis name to display just not doing a good job thinking about it! :lmao:

Everyone have a great one!
:wave2:

You are getting so close toyour trip! I can see how the house would start to feel crowded. Very nice sharing the Disney love with Megan!

Since I am still up; watching Cars, waiting for Ashton to go to sleep...he fell asleep on the way home at 6:30 and we were finally able to wake him at 7:30 (but he is now not sleepy in the slightest)...
I was calculating hours and mileage for our stop on Friday night...Chipley is about 4 hrs, Tallahassee is a little over 5, and Lake City is about 6 hr 45 min... so, I was kinda thinking stopping in Tallahassee...any of you LA drivers or I10 drivers have an opinion on this...we will probably be leaving our house around 2pm and do you think I should book a room ahead of time or pick up a hotel broch from the rest stop and just stop along the way???

possible dis MEET:
littlelovebug and Peter Pan Fan 22
anyone else interested?!? this would be so much fun!

after a little research I found this about locations for Illuminations:
Best Places to Watch Illuminations
1. UK-Canada Trail - A good spot to watch "Illuminations" is near the United Kingdom. As you're leaving the United Kingdom and entering Canada, there is a trail that leads off to the side. There are trees to sit under if you prefer. It is a little-known path with little to no crowd
2. Sushi Bar - The Japanese restaurant is one of the best places to eat in the whole of Disney. If you go to the sushi bar side of it before the fireworks show starts, you can watch the whole thing right out the window while you eat delicious, relatively cheap sushi.
3. CM Entrance - Between Norway and China there is a cast member entrance set back a ways from the walkway. You can step back into this area, get out of the way of the traffic and have a virtually unobstructed view of the lagoon and the sky.
4. Norway - In front of the Norway, good view, all facilities within easy reach (Kringla Bakeri, restrooms, water fountain).
5. France - Get there about 1/2 an hour early. There are iron bistro type tables and chairs right by the water. Head to the bakery - which is usually dead late at night. Grab some snacks (the cheese plate w/ bread, chocolate crepe, GM slushes)
6. Mexico - Cantina de San Angel, grab a churro and a water side table

I like what she says in #1 and 3
what do you guys think...I'm thinking if we catch Spectro and Wishes Sunday we do not need to do it again Wed.

Connie, I'd pick something on I10 in Tallahassee ahead of time. This way you have a destination and not a place you must search for.

Sorry about the rough weekend, Connie. :sad2: It was probably a good idea to get out of the house and get a little fresh air! Sounds like the shopping was fun!

I'd say book a hotel before you leave. If Danny is anything like Jeff, he would much prefer to have a destination than to search around for something when he's tired and ready to be done driving!

I'm sorry to hear that your weekend was rough. At least you were able to get some retail therapy.:thumbsup2

As far as staying in Tallahassee, we stayed just past Tallahassee the first two years we went to Disney because Hunter was really little and that's as far as we wanted to travel the first day. If I were you, I'd make sure you were past the first three or four Tallahassee exits before stopping for the night as the traffic the next morning is going to be heck. Why don't you search hotels.com or triprewards.com and see what they come up with. Oh, and last week Jameson Inn had a $5.00 off coupon on their website.

I hope the next 12 days fly by with no drama! Can't wait for our DIS meet! :banana:Hmmm I still have to find something lime green...
