I hope everyone rang in the New Year full of fun and happiness....!!!!


finally, bought a new powercord for the computer...have alot of catching up to do! will do through out the week!

Ashton and I went to see "The Princess and the Frog" on thursday...he loved it!!!! even the bad guys!!! we went eat at the "Hollywood" casino that night...Ashton was in heaven; my parents showed up and ended up sitting next to us...Danny came home and went to bed (he had to work earlier that day) I stayed up waiting for my son the partier...Dayne spent the evening going from party to party

So, as I was saying earlier Ashton and I went to see the frog movie Thursday! WE LOVED IT!!! I was so happy that it was centered around both frogs and not just the "princess"; that way it did not seem so girly for my son (not that a three yr old cares). I loved the New Orleans setting...we went to go buy the soundtrack after the movie but could not find it...will have to look another day!

I thought the VooDoo/HooDoo would really affect Ashton but he didn't even blink an eye...he just made the comment that he did not like the bad people. He wanted to dance and everyone in the theater was sitting really still in there seats so we just swayed and he clapped his hands to the music...a little boy on the other side of me (he looked about three, too) started clapping and his mom told him to stop...than she smiled and she started swaying too! don't people know how to have a good time?!?

need to get to bed...woke Danny up...by not being in bed...more tomorrow!

Morning Connie!

I'm sorry I didn't get around to telling you and your family Happy New Year. I posted to Ginny's thread and was getting ready to send everybody else wishes but then got busy. Never did get around to really posting on the Disboards much while off work.

We've got a little snow/freezing rain and rain this morning. When I watched the news last night, it was supposed to be sunshine and cold. Boy, did they miss their mark.

We haven't been to see Princess and the Frog yet. That may be something we do this weekend.

Hi Connie! Happy New Year. We went and saw the Princess and Frog on New Years Day! Owen was a little restless, and I ended up having to take him for a walk and I missed the end of it- Wayne stayed with Myles- and they loved it. From what I saw I loved it too- the music was great! I can't wait for it to come out on DVD now

Good morning Connie. I am so glad your power cord was purchased and you can Dis once again. You have been missed. I am so glad you and Ashton got to see the frog movie. I wish I would have been there too. Isn't that what Disney movies are all about. Kids enjoying themselves and enjoying the movies. I would have no problem with them singing and dancing if they are enjoying the movie. Sounds like you had way more excitement than we did for New Years. Don was in bed by 9:30 and I stayed up till 2 all by myself. I got texts from the girls at midnite which was very sweet. They were having a good time together.

Glad you are back Connie! I sure have missed you. Sounds like fun at "the frog movie". Josie was out of her seat dancing nearly the whole time. Surprisingly we had the whole row to ourselves so she didn't bother anyone. It wouldn't have mattered if there were a lot of people around us, if she wants to dance, I let her dance.

and I, too, did a happy tearful dance..."Thank You" what a wonderful friend to think of me this wonderful holiday season!

I would like to each of all my wonderful dis friends that I have made here...who would have thought last year around this time when Nickie suggested I start my own PTR; I would ever have made such wonderful and loving friends...

first up Ashton and Chloe exchanging gifts...this was the Wednesday before...

Ashton playing with DMIL's chirstmas gift she bought for herself --it came in a matching set...male and female...I guess in two years we'll see the benefit of this new addition to her kingdom of animals --she has over 100 birds, now 8 dogs...she breeds the parrots and is now going to breed the "Bishon Fres??"

now on to my parents house...you see all those wrapped gifts
they are ALL Ashton's ...the stockings are Gwendolyn, Dayne, Danny, my dad, and mine... oh and Ashton has one too!

the windchimes we got a set for each of our parents...
the sound is glorious...if you like windchimes you would love these
oh and BTW excuse my skinny mini's boxer show...

It looks fabulous on your tree. Much cuter than in the store. Love the precious moments. I love them anyway. But with Tink is awesome.

Your tree turned out very pretty the second time around. I'm afraid I would have plastered all the ornaments in one location and say deal with it. Patience would be such a virtue.

Has Dayne decided anything yet for senior trip? Aust still wants to do Mexico but one boy he wants to go, he doesn't want his mom to go and can't be sure she will let him go without her. Sheri and Sandi are planning to have one room and the four boys another. They can do 5 nights all inclusive with air from Kansas City for about $600.00 per person.

I am going to stay home and puppy sit.

I'm really sorry Ashton didn't get anything for Christmas. The poor neglected child. I love those wind chimes. Don used to make those all the time. I think Bichon's look like little old men. It's those dark eyes. They are so cute. I was going to get one but got the Princess instead. So now I'll never have one.

Oh! and note Winnie the Pooh and friends had to move...I had my nativity on the floor under the tree but after the tree fell I thought it needed a safer home...not only that I liked the way it was brought into view...

BTW the lamp behind the sofa finally found a new home...Dayne's room I spent the day on Saturday cleaning it, rearranging his furniture, and so I decided this misplaced lamp in the living room went well in his new arrangement...

doesn't he look excited!! he had been up since 5:30am --he had just come in from working...he went to sleep around 2 am...and still needed to go back to work at 4 pm

I need to turn the computer off for the day...if really took me ALL day to catch up on most of the PTR/TR's I follow...I still have Pam, Barbara, Brandi, and Stephanie to catch up on and probably a few others...
Danny's home and dinner's cooked so I think we are going to try and start our new diet project...no food intake after 6 pm...a friend of mine lost a lot of weight watching what she ate and not eating after 6...can't hurt!

You know I think he is grand. I watched at work first and I have no sound. One of my speakers went out so I threw them away. I had to rewatch so I could hear that magical voice. It truly was magical. There is nothing quite like the sound of a child.
