my dad wants to take Dayne on a cruise/as a graduation gift...I told Dayne that him, my dad, Danny, Dayne's friend Todd, Nick and their two dads should go on a cruise...bet they would have a blast!

I would think that would be fun for him. Austin loves cruising. And a guy thing would be really good

Kindergarten is a full day here, too.
Dayne's sr trip--I just mentioned that cruise again--he wants to do both. Boy the boy is dreaming...:lmao:

His car:rotfl: ordered a new clutch...:rolleyes1

put it up on the rack took the old one off...:rolleyes1

and the shaft was cracked...well he did not want to order just the shaft he wanted several cables too! so I made him wait until he got paid Friday (I know I am a very mean mom--I would have ordered the shaft but not all the other stuff--the shipping at mustangrestoration is $14.95 for anything you order no matter how much you order--so I made him wait) should be coming in tomorrow...That will be Danny's project Saturday--as Dayne is going to MO for the weekend:thumbsup2. Danny said he is going to start charging him for his time:rotfl2:--but the carb is doing Great! I really hope this is the last of everything until he is ready to buy his new engine...
thanks for asking!

Poor Dayne. He is never catch up on that car.

Danny really messed up when he bought the car (he knows that now) oh well!
the car looked good; sounded good; but did not know that it did not run good!:confused3

I think this was Danny's project car...and what a project it is...
it really needs a new engine but Dayne wants a performance engine that I'm not willing to help him with -- so, it will probably be after he graduates and he can save up some money for it...he wants to redo the entire car! he should have kept his truck, saved his money and bought a new one!:confused3 that's what I would've done (but I'm a girl--I'm told:rotfl2: )

I told Dayne to take it to a car show and sell it! and start over...with something newer but Danny said they are just about finished

whatever...

They are never finished.

I homeschooled Gwendolyn (7-9 grades) and Dayne (3-5 grades). Danny told me I can not homeschool Ashton; but, we were not able to find any groups we were comfortable with...where there are a lot more groups around here now. But, the last few days I have been feeling like we need a break from one another...(you get out w/a job away from home--I don't have that) So, I think we are going the private school route when it comes time in Aug '11. I really enjoyed the HS experience but they enjoyed the social aspect of school (I know if we would have a found a good group it would have ended different).

I think homeschooling is great. I didn't have the patience for it and when my girls were young it wasn't the thing to do. Aust went to a private Christian school for kindergarten. He wasn't old enough for public school and wanted to go really bad. So he went again to public school the following year. He tells everyone he was so smart he had to do kindergarten twice. Goof ball.

I knew I had to work when my girls were small. Not that I didn't and don't love them. I'm just one of those people who didn't feel fulfilled without working. But we didn't need a sitter. Don worked nights. I would get home 10 min before he left and he was home by 1:00 am so the girls would sleep late and then they would have a nap in the afternoon. It worked well for us but doesn't for everyone.

Good morning Connie. It is brrrrrrrrrrrrcold here today. I think it is to be back up to 60 tomorrow. Hope you are having a good day. Give my Peter Pan a big hug and kiss please.

Morning Connie,

Sorry I haven't been around the last few days. Went to Hot Springs and trying to catch up with my own trip report.

I never had issues with either of my kids starting school but, they were in daycare from the time they were 3 months old. When they started school, it was at the same place they went to daycare. No real adjustments on their parts or mine and John's.

I just realized that I did not answer anyone on here today...too busy talking to each of you on your threads ... :rotfl:
:santa:
QUESTION: anyone familiar with the tag system from Leap Frog?!? does it really help with reading or is it a waste of money?!? Ashton has the Baby vtech (that was a waste--I really need to sell it--we have all the games real waste) --still searching for Christmas ideas...I am leaning towards the Leapster2 and Danny likes the bike system
:wave2: :santa:

Hey Connie,
Sorry I haven't been over lately.
Hope Dayne gets to go on the cruise. I got sick once on a cruise and I never went on one again. A lot of people love them though. I'm just scared to go on a ship for some reason.:lmao:
As for x-mas presents for Ashton I have no idea! What is he into? Does he like Mickey mouse clubhouse, train? Chloe will be easy girls always are.:rotfl2:
Anyway hope you had a good day and hope Ashton is sleeping good and being good for you during the day.

Madi got the Tag (not Jr, that is a waste of money IMO, cause they outgrow it and it is not compatible with the reg Tag) for her birthday and she loves it. I love it. I can not say anything bad about it! Her favorite book is I Spy. They don't have to be readers or even pre-readers to enjoy this "toy." There is so much more built in to these books than just reading. It makes a great car toy, keeps her occupied and quiet

We plan to bring it along on our upcoming trip, help with the waits in line.

Get it! :thumbsup2

Good morning Connie,

Hope that you are doing well today. I've been busy trying to write my min-trip report and haven't gotten over to all my subscribed threads to check in with everybody. That's what I am doing now.;)

Thanks! Jen for the info!!

Good morning! Lisa...enjoying your mini report w/all the problems and all....hoping it gets better soon.

:wave2:

Good afternoon Connie. It is my late day at work so I was slow moving this morning. Hope you are having a good day. I will have a package in the mail next week for my sweet Peter Pan. I hope he likes it. Our weather is good today. Sun and dry pavement. Hadn't seen that for a few days.

Have a great day and pass hugs and kisses please.

Ginny

Good Day! Ginny,
Hoping the rain stays away for a little while...Dayne leaves tonight or rather tomorrow morning (around 4 am)! Glad the sun is out for you! We have spent most of the day so far in the yard; playing tag, them jumping on the trampoline, and we even ate our lunch out there. It is now nap time for Chloe and quiet time for Peter Pan...thank you for thinking about him I'm sure he will love it!

Try not to work too late or too hard...have a great afternoon!

Thank you for my holiday wishes. I even managed to do it without help. I know you are impressed. We are to have sunshine this weekend with mid 50's. No big plans going on either.

BTW, Dodn says no Jan cruise. The old meanie. I see his point. Christmas December, taxes and all that good stuff. So we will wait till spring or later in the summer even but I will plan to go from NO so we can have a meet. That excites me more than anything.

:wave2: Connie. I got the Leapster for Dallas when he was about 4 and he didn't care for it too much. He liked going on the "real computer". We would go on Nick and Disney and play the learning games on Blues Clues, Dora, Rolie Polie Olie, Stanley and some of the other shows. It was as much fun for me as for him. I sure miss watching Rolie Polie Olie, I loved that show......:lmao:.

Bummer about no January cruise. Your hubby makes a good point, but it still stinks that you'll have to wait!

Hi Connie! Sorry I have been MIA- work is CRAZY this week & I'm sure it will be next week, too. I just wanted to say "hi" & have a great weekend!

Good morning Connie and Peter Pan and Tink. Hope you are having a good Friday. The sun is starting to come out here and that makes one happy. Have a great weekend. Did Dayne get off ok?

Good morning everyone! it is a beautiful day!! :sunny:

Ginny ~ very proud of you posting your holiday wishes in your siggie--it was an easier application this go round...if you want it smaller just post it in your photobucket and edit it! ;)
Dayne hit the road at what time I do not know--he texted at 8:00 to say he was in MS--I sent back that they should be in TN he sent back he was...I have sent two text in the last hour and have not heard from him--uughh! we are bumming at the moment; we will be playing outside in a little bit--Danny brought home a sack of oysters (the boy don't know what he is doing--guess I'll have to call Daddy over) I think I'm going to buy some shrimp to fry along with them; need some for the casserole this week anyway!
and I can totally understand Don's point about the Jan cruise...need to spread the fun anyway--you will have just had Christmas!

Aprili ~ Hey! sorry to hear you have been so busy!! hope it slows down soon!!!

Dana ~ I'm not sure what to get...he loves to play the Wii; but, my older kids do not play handheld games so I don't know if he would like it or not. He has the Diego game for the Wii but they rarely play with him and I do not play video games :confused3--I wish I knew someone around here that had one so I could see if it would be something he would be interested in :confused3

Everyone have a wonderful day!! :sunny:

If Dayne is getting close to the bootheel at all he will have no phone service. It's terrible down there. We used to go thru it to get to Nashville and we have sort of changed our route a little but the phone service is still bad. After I shed 2 tears I decided he was right on the Jan cruise. And now he is saying don't use my points at all but wait and see if I can save enough for a free one in 2011. Fine by me. He can pay for all my cruises as long as it doesn't touch my money I'm ok with it. I'm not a big oyster fan but I'd be willing to try them as long as they are cooked. Shrimp and crab are my fav, well and lobster too.

I placed an order with Gwendolyn. She had no idea I lived far away. Too cute. We got it all straightened out tho.

Have a great weekend. Must clean house since we are leaving early Wed. morning.

I asked Gwendolyn the other day if she had heard from you... she knows when someone orders by internet...she told me no...you must have right after that...
Thank you! for supporting her! told her she needed a real job she was in the hole with them for over $400 (she had preordered things she thought people would want :headache: )told her she needed to get ahead before she just jumped in...right idea just too soon...

Dayne sent a text I guess about an hour ago (maybe a little more) saying he was about 30 min from the grandparents house....so he should be there! just sent a text before I got back on here!

BTW: I only eat oysters fried (I have tried them charbroiled--they have a good flavor if done right; but not my favorite--I have also tried them raw but sitting in garlic butter that was ok). Daddy took some shrimp out of the freezer so we are having shrimp too!
