I miss you, Ginny!

I will be at your report today April. I've missed you all so much and thankful that I have moments that I can actually do things. Ok, move from the bed to the chair. But I can do my own showers now and wash what hair is left. Not lots.

You have got to know how much I've missed our chats. The will be back with a vengence. After 3 1/2 weeks I'm afraid the boredom will set in. I will be typing tho and fall asleep. I blame it on the benedryl. I'm getting 2 units of blood today so that is good. I will have energy when Sheri gets home tonite. She has been away all week and I miss her. Sandi is coming in this afternoon too. She was coming last week when the snow hit Nashville. I got the catheter out this morning so I get to put on pj's today. That is way exciting. The dr. wants me up a couple times per day which I'm good with. I have student nurses again this week. Super girls but I feel somewhat smothered at times. They mean well tho and that is the only way they are going to learn.

I know you are missing your girls...I'm sorry Sandi was snowed in but you get to see her this weekend and show off your new freedom. Maybe the girls will be able to take you for a short walk out of the room.

You should get a burst of wonderful energy when you receive blood; Danny has not made it to donate but he has not forgotten and I didn't even have to remind him. Sunday on our way to MS he said I need to go do blood. Not thinking I said I need to make an appointment for you and he said no for Ginny...so, he is even thinking of you daily. Your energy will pick up a little now that you can get around.

Don't give those girls too hard of a time; like you said they are learning (I'm bad, I always send them away...don't have the patience for large groups. One or two at a time is OK but more than that, not happening).

So you're still thinking of a May trip, huh? I don't ever worry about the rains when we go and we always go the last week of May/first week of June. If it rains, we just pop on our ponchos and keep on going. We're in Disney World after all!

I'm trying to think of a city about 2 or 3 hours from WDW. Are you talking about like on the drive down I-75?

I'm going to try my best not to get excited about a May trip right now. I had a hard time dealing with the disappointment the last time you thought you might get to make it in May. I will just keep my fingers crossed that it works out and I get to meet you and your family in May.

I'm not worried about rain this year. Last year was a fluke. I'm banking on the weather we experienced during our previous May trips (before 2009). If Dayne has trouble in Nashville you know I'm just a skip and jump away. We'll take care of him if he runs into trouble.

I told Danny when Dayne started talking schools that if he went to Orlando my friend from grade school was an hour away and Disney. If he went to Nashville you were about 45 min away. He looks at me and says what does that have to do with anything. (MEN ) the child is only going to be 18 what if something happens wouldn't you feel better knowing someone can be there to hear any info and stay with Dayne until you can be there. I got I guess so!

I know exactly what you mean about May; but it does sound promising...I haven't been told NO in a few days. Even when I brought it up tonight he listened attentively. I do know that next week I will be booking my date for 2010! we all just have to wait to see what the verdict will be.

My laptop died yesterday! the monitor went out. So, I talked Danny into going out and buying a new one tonight. He complains about me on the computer but he likes to surf at night too! We didn't get anything expensive just enough to keep me happy and Dayne. When Dayne graduates I planned to get him a new one anyway.

I think Danny if finally giving in to the thought of returning to Disney in May. Although, like Leanne said I am not getting my excitment up until I am able to book the date!!! We are suppose to sit down this week and really talk about it....I told him I have to book by the 28th in order to get the discount. So, we plan to book after the 15th. So, if we go in May I give up seeing Disney for Christmas for a little while. If so we will plan a trip when Ashton is a little older and just take him out of school for a week and do a Christmas trip. We'll see...decisions decisions....we'll know for sure soon!

First off, sorry the computer died. At least you were able to get a new one quickly.

Lake City is the town that you get to right as you turn to go down I-75. It's probably about 3 hours from Disney World.

I hope that you get to book a trip for May. It's our favorite time to go.

was going to post news on a May trip and ADR's but I think I will wait until I have everything for sure....just keep your fingers crossed along with me...we need to find out when Dayne's friends plan to go to Panama Beach for their Sr trip to see what our dates are going to be for sure. that is where we are now!


EDIT: Dayne's Sr trip is scheduled the same week that I was looking for May 21 - 25. So, it does appear if we do plan a spring trip we will be missing all of you guys...bummer! Dayne found out last night that their room was booked they have a group of about 20 kids going. I told him I wish they would have been going the week before we could have picked him up on our way. : I did try Leanne I even had Danny on board and had three ADR's booked that I need to cancel.

You could always book a May trip that started right after Dayne's trip and you could pick him up on the way to Disney. Couldn't you pick him up on the 25th and drive on to Disney?

Way to go SAINTS!!!! As for Disney, I know you tried Connie. Tell Dayne to go the week before. I know that's not realistic but it was worth mentioning. I also know that Memorial Day week and weekend get more crowded by the second so I understand Danny's take too. That's why we go the week before.

So, I did the craziest thing tonight! You must first know that I no longer do Mardi Gras because I don't like massive crowds!!!

At 4 pm this afternoon my BFF called and said bring me to the Saints Parade. ARE YOU SERIOUS! we should have left around 1/2 not 5. She was still at work and had to come home. Danny did not want to go; but, told me if I was crazy enough go for it. Danny does not do crowds or New Orleans!

Mardi Gras had nothing on tonight! But, everyone there was happy and in good moods. We had heard on the radio that the interstate and all the roads going in to NO were stopped! So, I went in the back way along the lakefront and through city park. My plan was to head up through Elysian Fields and walk through the French Quarter. Well, ended up going up Canal St and got nervous so I parked on a street that I know not to be on! and we walked back up to Canal. The guy that I parked my car in his lot told me exactly where to walk and he looked at me and said "I'm watching out for you"...well, coming back I told Robin we can walk down here and walk straight to the street we parked on...and we did...straight through a housing project...the guy and girl who were at the lot with my car both told us how STUPID that was...

but, we are home safe and we had a blast...

we were able to see Bush, Fajuita, and Shockey up close
the others we caught on TV at a chinese resturant on the way home!

WHO DAT!!!! FINISH STRONG!!
