We are renting a villa, anyone familiar with Cumbrian Lakes?

Dh is dying to know if there are bass in the lake/s? Is there more than 1 lake?

I'm trying to get excited about it. We've stayed in a villa before but last time we stayed at POFQ and I absolutely loved staying on property. There are two disney themed kids rooms so that will help.

Any tips to make it special or more fun?

Thanks for any info!

there are several lakes in the Kissimme/orlando area

have you got an address?

I dont know about this place but my husbands cousin is staying in a home there in March! Looks really nice

Spicey Cat, this is the description of the location:

Conveniently located 4 miles down Poinciana Blvd from US 192, Cumbrian Lakes is just 10 minutes from Disney. A gated community with lovely lakes, walking (or Jogging!) track and kids play area - perfect for the most discerning holidaymaker yet only minutes drive from an impressive range of shops and restaurants..

Do you know if there are larger fishing lakes close by? although, if dh has to drive to one, we'll never see him, lol!

It does look like a great community Diane V. I love that they they have a kids playground and it looks like most of the houses back up to the lake so you have a great view from your pool. We're staying at Katies Villa. If your cousin has any opinions after his stay, I'd love to hear them. We're not going until June.

Thank you both!

Are there any larger fishing lakes nearby?!?!

Only Lake Kissimmee, Lake Toho, and East Lake Toho. Three lakes you are likely to see professional bass tournaments on. :)

If your hubby wants to have a great time, have him book a guide on Lake Toho. They get some BIG bass.

Thanks Ted, I'll tell him about Lake Toho. Is it the best? He's mentioned booking a guide...less $$$$ to spend at Disney for me, LOL, but if it's that great, maybe I could arrange it and surprise him. Thanks!

Thanks. I saved the link. I'll never understand how you all can watch fishing on TV, too funny! If he goes, I'll let you know how he did.

I don't like to watch MOST fishing on TV. But I do watch a lot of them. Since we moved to Florida, I have really been into the shows. mainly because the fishing is many times close to here. When I lived in NH, I could care less about watching other people catch fish. Now, I use it to get ideas of where to go. :)
