We are on the deluxe dining plan for the 1st time. How do my reservations look?

We are on the deluxe plan and I will be six month pregnant when we go. I kow I will enjoy to sit down but at the same time I don't want to feel rushed to the next ADR. We do character breakfasts and signature dining at around 7, 7.30 pm. Our son will be just three though we will not have to rush through the parks since we cannot go on every right anyway. We plan on using snack credits for lunch. Have fun!

Thanks everyone for the advice. I did change things a little. However, my husband wants those Epcot restaurants. Even if we don't finish our meals, we plan to take back our leftovers as we are staying 5 nights at Bay Lake Tower and then the next 3 nights at my parent's vacation house and going to Universal. Food will not be wasted and "stuffing our pie holes" is the Italian way lol. Here are my new ressies:

January 29 @ 11:15 am Chef Mickeys
January 29 @ 7:00 pm 1900 Park Fare

January 30 @ 9:35 am Hollywood & Vine
January 30 @ 2:00 pm Sci-Fi
January 30 @ 7:00 pm 50's Prime Time Cafe

January 31 @ 12:50 pm Crystal Palace
January 31 @ 7:30 pm Narcoossee's

Feburary 1 @ 9:25am Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Febuary 1 @ 3:10 pm Via Napoli
Febuary 1 @ 8:00 pm Chefs De France

Febuary 2 @ 11:30 am Coral Reef
Febuary 2 @ 3:15 pm Teppan Edo
Febuary 2 @ 8:00 pm Le Cellier

Febuary 3 @ 8:00 am 1900 Park Fare

Looking at your new schedule I would most definitely bag the Coral Reeg on Feb. 2. You will finish Teppan Edo around 1:00 or 1:30 and then only have less than 2 hours until your next meal. Personally, we will not return to Coral Reef after several terrible meals there. But, even if we loved it I wouldn't dream of doing any restaurant less than 2 hours after my last meal. Other than that, things look doable.

When we've done the deluxe plan we've done some signature restaurants and also reserved some credits for counter service. It works well that way for us.

Aside from Feb 2, that plan looks great! But as Mari said, Teppan Edo is an experience that takes at least an hour, between the show and actually eating, which barely leaves any time before Coral Reef. And with an opening-time reservation at Teppan Edo it usually takes a little bit to be seated because the restaurant does a little welcome ceremony at noon before they start seating. So figure you'll be seated around 12:15-12:20, then an hour or so to eat, and you probably won't be getting out of there before 1:30.

I don't think there's any really good way to fit all three of those restaurants into one day, but if you're going to try I'd see if you could switch the order - Coral Reef opens at 11:30 so if you could get in at/near opening and then plan Teppan Edo for mid-afternoon, you'd have a little more time between meals. Maybe try for 11:30 Coral Reef, 3:30 Teppan Edo, and keep Le Cellier as is? Since 3:15 is a lunch seating for Coral Reef and Teppan Edo has one menu all day, there's no difference on that count, and it would space things out a little better.

Thank you. I switched those reservations.

I really can't imagine what 3 year old would enjoy running from restaurant to restaurant and call that a "vacation". I also don't get the mentality that because you are pregnant you should stuff yourself. That is extremely unhealthy. If you wanted to eat all day and not do much of the parks I would just go on an all inclusive trip to an island and just lay on the beach and eat/drink.

If I'm going to WDW I can't imagine eating 3 full meals a day and wasting all that park time. But hey, different strokes for different folks!

We are doing a lot of character meals for my daughter. And I didn't know that just by going to restaurants you are guaranteed to "stuff your face." And well actually we are going to Disney because originally we booked a cruise but had to cancel it when we found out I was pregnant. We like relaxing, eating in restaurants, and walking around the park. I have been to WDW over 100 times. I do not feel that I am at all wasting park time. I can see and do everything that we want to see and do in the time we have at WDW. It isn't like we have never been there before and will never go again. My parent's have a vacation house there. I have vacationed there almost every year of my life and have even lived in Florida and worked at Disney. My 3 year old daughter has been to WDW 3 times already and 1 time to Disneyland. We have never been on the dining plan before and want to eat at as many restaurants that we possibly can. And just fyi, my 3 year old loves going out to eat. She might not be the most behaved, but when she wants to eat, she wants to eat. She doesn't eat much at one sitting but likes to tastes things throughout the day and is used to 3 meals a day. My husband and I are foodies and our 3 year old has a very unique palate. For example, she has eaten and enjoyed duck and Indian food. So maybe some 3 year olds wouldn't like the idea of going to the restaurants, but our daughter does. She keeps telling everyone that she is going to eat with Mickey and the princesses. When we went on a cruise last year, she loved all of the food. When we got home, she was disappointed that there was no Lido deck at home lol.

That's one thing I really don't get about the objections to the deluxe plan, and someone always brings it up on threads like these - just because you're entitled to a large meal or eating at a buffet doesn't mean you have to stuff yourself! At 7mo pregnant, it felt like all I did was eat because I could only handle small portions without getting heartburn or an upset stomach, but I ate a lot more frequently than I normally do.

I love hearing about little bitty foodies. :goodvibes It is a refreshing change from all the threads asking advice about how to accommodate kids that only eat pizza and chicken nuggets! Two of my three loved eating out and trying new foods from a young age too. The oldest came by it honestly - when he was an only we lived in the city and went out often, and I've never been one to order "kid foods" for my bunch - but I have no idea where the toddler got it from! I do love the look on a waiter's face when she asks for sushi, though. It cracks me up every time. :lmao:

I agree. Just because you are entitled to an appetizer, steak dinner and dessert doesn't mean you NEED to eat it....or even order it. Even just ordering the TS entree and drink only for a 3rd meal on the Deluxe plan is better use than getting a CS meal most of the time.

My kiddos like "real food" too. They may order some nuggets or pizza on occasion, but they'll also eat the steak, salmon, chicken, shrimp, chinese food, and pasta too.

My boys like all kinds of food too - sushi, chinese, all kinds of seafood, etc. but if I were to tell them that we will be spending the majority of our time eating while on vacation, they would rather stay home.

We are foodies also and I like your plan. But still I count you use more credits than you have.
Or.......... I am miscalculating and I have more credits myself next time :thumbsup2
I count 16 credits so please tell me your secret. :rotfl2:

I count 15. Are you counting Le Cellier as 2 credits? - her dates are before the LeC changeover to signature.

The last time we ate a buffet breakfast, we planned to have snacks around the world at epcot for the food and wine festival. We did eat a hearty breakfast at 9 am and only managed to sample 1 booth at the food and wine festival (split between 2 of us) because we were still so full even 6 hours later. It really ruined the day for us.
We weren;t hungry again til 8pm that night.
My advice : eat lightly at the breakfast buffets.

O now I see. :worship: Thank you. I was counting and counting and hoping I was miscalculating so I had an extra point hidden somewhere. We have Le Cellier for two credits.

Enjoy your meals OP.

Are you joking? Are you planning on doing anything in the parks, other than stuff your pie holes?:confused3

Way too much food. You will be racing from restaurant to restaurant just to get to your next ADR.

:banana::banana::banana:

Dear Max.
I'll tell you a little dirty secret. We have Deluxe Dining AND Club lounge. So "free" food ,and drinks the whole day and still are not stuffed every evening.:lmao:

The secret is just eat until you are full and not stuff yourself because the plates must be empty or take a doggie bag back to your room. :thumbsup2
Just let the waiter take back an half eaten plate,he will not shoot your for it. :rotfl:
For us that is the charm of the dining plan. Everything is payed for so we don't have to worry about the cost neither do we have the feeling that we have to eat everything because " you must eat it all because the bill is to hight to waste food".
