We are in our 50's using a Hopper going to Epcot and WDW

We will start out at Epcot and then go to WDW in the after noon.We will stay and watch spectromagic and wishes and then head back to epcot for illuminations. We will be going on Wednesday because all 3 will be happening that night. Anyway, what are the must do's and what order would you suggest. We really want to do Soarin'. Haven't done it yet. Thanks for any advice. What about the weather?

Epcot is IN WDW.
WDW is the name of ALL of the property.

You mean Magic Kingdom (MK).

WHICH Wedndesday? NEXT Wednesday?

We're not "kids" anymore ourselves and often Park Hop like this,
BUT...
Even though lower attendance at this time of year will help...
it might be timing it a little "close" for you See Wishes at 8-8:15pm and then make it back to Epcot's World Showcase by 9:30pm in time for IllumiNations.

It will be EMH at MK, but still there will be crowds trying to leave MK after Wishes slowing you down.

I know its POSSIBLE to do this, but you'll not want to dawdle. Here's a plan.

Watch Wishes very near the exit from MK and get GOING as soon see that Wishes is over.
Don't carry any extra bags so the "bag inspection" at Epcot won't slow you down (although you may be BEHIND others who DO have a lot of extra stuff to be inspected.) Once in, head straight back to World Showcase and try to find a spot that's not got TOO MANY folks crowded in to see IllumiNations.

We take the time to see the Dapper Dans (Barbershop Quartet)
and the other "live" entertainers found around the parks.
They interact with the crowds SO WELL, so much FUN to watch!

You mention that you're looking forward to Soarin' (definitely a MUST do!). As many DISers have mentioned in other posts...this ride is incredibly popular and has long lines as the day wears on. I would recommend doing Soarin' first thing in the morning or at least getting a Fast Pass for it first thing...we did it when the park opened and there was already a 20 minute wait (we literally ran from the opening gates at rope dropping, and there was already a line!). But well worth it!

We have done it but it was in the summer. We watched Illuminations at 9:00 in Epcot and then took the monorail to the TTC, switched monorails and went to MK and caught Wishes at 10:00. I'm not sure of the timing involved with your visit.

We watched Illuminations from the entrance to World Showcase and made it to Main Street just as Wishes was starting. Good luck (we're in the same age category)

Another idea is to watch Wishes from near the train station and high tail it out of there like the previous poster suggested. But hop a bus to either the Beach Club or the Boardwalk, then head through the International Gateway at Epcot. That entrance is much closer to Illuminations (less walking ).

Can you do that if you are not staying at BC or BW? Is the train station in MK? Is it crowded? Do you have a gd view of wishes? Thanks everyone for your info!

We love the Main Street Entertainers!! I could spend all day on Main Street with them. We "play along" with them. I made Hildegard for Mayor banners for my sister and I to wear one day. Boy, did that make a great impression. We played with that one all day long!!

bumping to see if someone can answer the question about riding the bus form MK to BC or BW and then walk in to the gate to world show case? thanks

Yes, you can take the bus from MK to either the Beach/Yacht Clubs or Boardwalk and walk to the International Gateway, which places you right in WS between UK & France. If you have a valid ticket, you are entitled to use any of the WDW transportation. That will save you the monorail change at the TTC and the walk through FW.

Yes, you can take the bus to Boardwalk or Beach Club which ever arrives first. You do not have to be staying at these resorts. Entering Epcot through the International Gateway would be less walking to World Showcase.

We are in our 50's also and have been going for over 20 years. My advice .... stay longer and do it all!

Soarin' is a must though. Have fun.
