We arrived last night at the Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach after our 18 hours straight car ride from PA to FL. Some thoughts at random....
When taking the SR528 to A1A we did not have to pay any tolls, nor did we see any places where there would be any place to even pay tolls?
This area is great!! We passed by the Radisson on our way here and I have to say that their property is very tropical looking from the outside anyway. There is so much in this area -- much more than Dave could ever list on his map of the area (www.dcltribute.com). There are so many places to eat in the area if you have a car...... Durango Steak house, seafood places, as well as Italian and Chinese. In addition there is practically any fast food place you could imagine.... McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, Wendy's, KFC, Dairy Queen, etc. I believe I even saw a Denny's. We will probably just grab fast food while we are here --as we know that we have wonderful meals waiting for us on the Magic!! There are also lots of areas to do shopping. A nice Publix grocery store right in the area and even a Family Dollar store if you need to grab some last minute things for your cruise.
The Hampton Inn is VERY NICE. We have a large oversized room. It has two double beds and a sofa bed. Large bathroom with double sinks. Microwave and Fridge in the Room. TV has pay per view movies available and even playstation for a per hour charge. Nice pool. And just a short walk down their dock to the beach. It is very clean. I am getting ready to soon enjoy my FREE breakfast which is included with all of their rooms. I received a rate of $79 using the discount on the space coast area website discount page. Sorry -- I don't have the link right now, but I have posted it many times during our planning in the past. I'd be happy to email the link to you if you send a request to me. (when I return after 4/28). Another terrific thing at the Hampton -- is the FREE internet use in their lobby -- which I am using right now!
