Monday - July 19 - Sunny - Really hot
I work up at 5am. Yeah it's early. I always wake up pretty early on the first day. It seems my body's out of wack from the day before. I decided to try and sleep some more. After a while, I did fall back asleep and woke up around 6h30am.
I got ready and went down to grab breakfast at the Contempo Café.
At 8h30am, my dad and I were on our way to the Magic Kingdom. We saw the opening ceremony, and slowly walked down Main Street.
We made our way to Adventureland and went on Pirates of the Caribbean.
Oh, before I go on, I forgot to post a picture of the towel animal we had in our room when we got in the day before.
Ok, so we went on Pirates. It was a walk-on. We even got our own boat! That was the greatest thing in the world! I also got a first compliment on my t-shirt. I had a t-shirt on that said "Chillin' like a villain". My friend got it for me 2 years ago. It has Malificient, Cruella, Ursula and the Queen on it. People seemed to really like it.
So the guy on pirates asked me if I knew how to spell villain like a pirate. V-I-L-L-AYE-I-N.
Next, we went to the Haunted Mansion. Not a walk-on, but a very small wait.
After that it was "It's a small world". Also very little wait. But as we got back, we saw groups after groups, after groups coming into the waiting area. We were glad we had gotten there when we did.
We then went to see Phiharmagic and waited around 5min. Great show as usual.
It was soon getting the time to meet up with mom. We decided to go see "Monsters Inc, before we did.
In line I was waiting by this guy with a Disney tattoo. I was shy, but still asked him if I could take a picture of it. Here it is.
The show was funny as usual. They showed the guy in front of me, and besides me. I was glad I was not chosen lol
At 11am, we met up with me. We shopped a bit, and walked around. When we got hungry, we decided we were going to eat at Pinnochios. My mom and I normally like to sit upstairs, but we let my dad decide where to sit. He chose a window that we could see "it's a small world" through. He had fun waving at people passing us by in boats lol
As we ate, I was feeling so hot and tired. I decided that I wanted to take a hotel break and go back to swim.
As we were walking back down main street, we stopped in stores mostly for the A/C. But we did make 1 purchase. Chocolate covered marshmallows at the confectionnary. Yummy!
We then went back to the hotel.
My dad accompanied me to the small pool. And boy was the water warm! I felt like I was in a bath. It definetly wasn't refreshing.
After 30-45min, we went back to the room, and I napped.

It must have seemed so contemporary at the time, but now, when we look at the pictures (on the Vintage photos thread).. it just all looks so 70's!!
