Well here we are, very dissapointed with the entire Beach club villas , but that is for another day.. we need atleast some good food withing walking distance, Boardwalk... any ideas? is the Cape May good ??Please help. :stir:

I've read that Cape May is really good as well as Beaches & Cream, Flying Fish, Yachtsman and Yacht Club Galley. Hope your stay at BCV gets better. Please let us know how you're doing. :grouphug:

Beaches and Cream. Make sure you get ice cream! ESPN is also very good on the boardwalk. They don't take ADR's either so you can go when you want.

We like Spoodle's at the BW, but we consider all of the restaurants at Epcot and MGM to be within walking distance. Of course with the DDP if you don't already have ADR's your choices maybe further limited. I hope things improve for you.

Cape May's is great for dinner (never had it for lunch, but at dinner they have ribs and seafood and a great buffet for the little ones). Beaches and Cream and ESPN are great (mostly burger-type food though). If you have park hoppers, I recommend heading over to World Showcase for a good meal.

I've been generally disappointed with the seafood/shellfish at Cape May Cafe, but otherwise it is a pretty decent buffet.

You must tell what's up with BCV. I'm hoping to stay there in May so I want to know.

My favorite restaurants in that area are: Blue Zoo @ the Dolphin, Beaches & Cream, Flying Fish, Kimonos @ Swan (sushi), Yachtsman Steakhouse, Fresh @ Dolphin (for breakfast), Garden Grove @ Swan (again, a good breakfast). We haven't tried Shulas but I hear it's great - I think it's at the Dolphin. We plan on trying it next trip.

Me too-I've reserved at BCV in September! Please share your BCV experiences when you get back.
I love the Cape May Cafe character breakfast (the smells from the seafood bothered me, and I love seafood). If you want fast food, I love to get a sandwich at BC Marketplace. And don't miss the gelato there, especially the pistachio. Another breakfast I enjoyed is the Yacht Club Galley.

Go over to allearsnet.com.....dining....menus for the Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin. There are many great restaurants in the Epcot resort area. You can also easily walk into Epcot from the BCV for even more restaurant options.

I love Spoodles for dinner or breakfast

I like Spoodles and would recommend it for dinner.

It used to be a Tapas bar, but they discovered that not enough people understood how to eat at a Tapas bar, so they just changed it to a more standard menu with a few Tapas items. I think it would have been much nicer if they kept all the Tapas items and then offered standard combinations so that people unfamiliar with this style of eating/ordering could just order pre-prepared entree sized servings. Oh well.

Beaches and Cream has good ice cream.

Spoodles actually struggled through, with a hybrid Tapas-and-Entrees menu, for many years, under chef Marianne Hummel. It was a singularly superior experience, given the price. Marianne's evidently gone on to bigger and better things, so I suspect the energy that kept the hybrid menu going so long (sharing ingredients between the two menus for cost-effectiveness, just varying the preparation to support the additional menu items) couldn't be sustained with a new chef. It is a shame, but hopefully it'll have a resurgeance some day soon.
