We are going in January, A few questions

So, we will be heading to Universal in January! This is our first trip ever to Universal and I am really trying hard to look forward to it. (DH is excited, I am having a hard time missing my Disney days)

When can I expect them to post the hours for January? We are going 1/22 & 1/23.

What is a no-miss for us? Our main focus is WWOHP, but what else can I not miss with my kids ages 10,8, and 6. They love Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain, and my son will ride Rock and Rollercoaster, but my 6 year old is not a huge ride fan (her favorites are People Mover and Carousel of Progress). What do I HAVE to get to?

In January the parks will probably only be open until 6. In January I would suggest you leave out the water rides. The big roller coasters will also probably be a no go. You can do everything else.

I'll be there with my 6 year old that exact weekend. We went for 3 days this summer for the first time. My son loved it more than Disney I believe (he says so anyways). We did 2 days at Islands of Adventure, 1 day at Studios. I would have switched that if I could in hindsight though. Of course we went before WWOHP opened.

Men In Black, Simpsons, Monster Make Up, Jaws, Twister, Earthquake (Disaster or whatever its called), and ET were all can't miss for him at the Studios. Honestly, at Islands of Adventure, he loved the Seuss area and Jurassic Park.

I prefer Studios to Islands personally, but again, thats pre WWHOP. I expect and hope that to change this trip. Your six year old sounds like she would love the Studos too, as most of their things are as much show as ride.
