I posted a little bit ago about takling my visually impaired mom to Disney as a Xmas gift.............and.........

everything is booked! We leave Jan. 8 and are staying at CBeach for 9 days. I am soooooo excited and am finding it hard to not tell her. I have been picking up little travel related gifts and I'm not sure how we will tell her, but with my brother and his wife (they are paying 1/2), my hub and kids all present, Xmas Eve is gonna be a teary event in my house.

Just to fill you in a bit:
-she has always wanted to go to Disney
-my dad didn't like flying and the one time that they were booked to meet us, we had to cancel (bin laden)
- my Dad passed away just three years ago and she is just getting back to herself now
-She got married at 18 and had me 10 months later so we have always been close and this time together alone will be soooooo coool


I do have one problem.....how are we ever going to eat at all of my fav places in that amount of time?

Thanks guys, I am so excited!

I took her Xmas shopping today and managed to talk her into getting her passport photo done.....that was a chore. I told her that in the spring it may be time for a girls trip through New England and maybe Quebec. It was also difficult for her not to buy more than a few items of clothing for herself. I'm sure that we will shop in Florida, so I was trying to discourage her from getting a few things. I also think that she thinks it is strange that I wasn't offering to buy a couple of items for me to give her for Xmas.....
