Well here is a little info. Please send questions if you have any:

Got to the park Wed. about 3 p.m. Waits were posted anywhere from 5-15 min. I noticed immediately that there is a lot more people this time of year than after Christmas break is over.
DS got picked for the 3:30 show for Jedi Academy and had a great time. It was not crowded at all. He had on a Star Wars shirt and the Master noticed it.
We ate at Red Rockett's pizza port and it was better than Pizza Oo Mow Mow.
Noticed there was some band, choir thing going on which had a lot of junior high and high schoolers that were fairly obnoxious in my opinion.
Watched the parade for the first time and loved it.

Note: Saw lots and lots of dream fast passes and ears but never once in three days did we see a live dream team in the parks.

Thursday
Did not have EE so we could not get in. Headed for DL and waited minimally for rides. Had a GREAT lunch at Riverbelle Terrace. We had the chowder bowls and salad and turkey sandwich. LOVED the chowder. Looked for Albort. Pin traded. Watched the parade from main street.

Friday
Did TTMM which was fun. Then crossed over to CA. Much more crowded then what I was hoping for off season. Ate lunch at Whitewater Snacks and yes, the nachos rock. Used and got fast passes which took our times down quite a bit. For example GRR was 40 min., we fast passed in 5 min. No kidding.
Did Block Party and this is our second time seeing it. Loved it.
Saw the fireworks for the first time from inside the park and loved it. We staked out a bench about an hour and a half early. Man, people get really rude and cut throat about getting spots.

Saturday
We did Storyteller's for breakfast and the food was GREAT. Character interaction was okay, slightly disappointed but we knew going in it was not like Goof's.
Coming out of GC into DTD.....passed a CM in her white vest but she did not have anything. Then we walked about 10 yards and oh yeah baby...........there they were. We got pins and lanyards out in front of Build A Bear. They only had 10 left so we lucked out. It was very interesting to watch all the people walk by them that did not have a clue that they were handing anything out. I noticed they do not draw attention to themselves and you have to walk up to them.
We cruised DTD and swam at the pool at our motel.

Tropicana:

I am not a hotel snob but our room was really small. Like way to small for three people. The room was clean. I will give it that. The location rocked and was only 4 minutes from the entrance to the parks. Pool was small but fine. Not sure if I would stay here again. Our backs are killing us from the bed and the noise from outside and upstairs was REALLY BAD. Breakfast was not great, which we knew going in. We tried it once and went to plan B. I will try BWPPI before we stay here again.

Ate a GREAT dinner at House of Blues last night.

Let me know if you have any questions..........

I am glad you had a good time!

So the Dream Team just stands around and waits for people approach them? Were they all that way, or just those particular ones? Just wondering so we know what to expect when we go.

That is what they were doing in DTD. When we won dream fast passes in Feb. they were standing at the exit of Autopia and they handed them to us. I would say we saw a good 50 people walk by the team in DTD.

White vests with the Million Dreams logo on the back with their CM name tag. They really blend in DTD especially when it was busy.

I am staying at the Tropicana in 3 weeks. Do you think I should recommend a room on the top floor?

Definitely!!!!!!!!!!!! We both had a hard time sleeping because of noise from the parking lot and the second floor. You will be happy with the location in relation to the park. Also, the fireworks were louder at the hotel than they were in the park and I am not joking. We were woke up out of a dead sleep last night and I thought someone was shooting a gun outside our room then I remembered the fireworks.

Haven't been to the House of Blues for dinner - what's it like, what's the food like? What kind of foods do they have, do you think that's a good place for little kids?

I'd like to know this too. Planning on meeting their our first night.

Thanks

Great thanks for the heads up. I'll call first thing tomorrow morning to request a top floor.

HAHA! I cant believe you did the same thing... well sorta... I will remind my mom that its not gun shot :rotfl2: So funny, last time we were staying on ball road and the firworks started... 3 loud bangs and she freaked out, hit the floor and crawled towards the bathroom on the stomach screaming for me to join her. After a few more bangs shes like OMG what are we gonna do. I litterally hit the floor but laughing until tears were running down my face. To this day I cant believe she did it. Then again it was her first time to DL and she found it undexpected.

House of Blues has steaks, pizza, burgers, wraps, fish, meatloaf. Kids meals were chicken strips, mac and cheese, burger, grilled cheese. The portions were huge and the prices were average.
