just a quick note to say we are back... arrived home just before midnight and now need to do some food shopping as dint do a lot before as you are remember our little boy was sick and then even I cached something...

anyway we had a great time pixiedust: and cannot wait to be back for xmas season :littleangel: will write a little bit more latter today...

have fun everyone who is going now as the weather at DLP is great over there now...

Welcome back we have also had a great week of weather at DLP then come back to loads of snow!

will try to put this in points as don't really have any lows and it will be easier...

- as you already know from others who been this week, the weather was getting better and better as the week went and on Friday it was lovely springy day
- we were staying at Santa Fe and got one of the new rooms with Cars theme. it was really lovely and our little boy loved it... and keep pointing and the picture of Mater and keep saying Car is sleeping...
- Alex was still on antibiotic when we get there so we just took it easy, come back to room every day for nap/break and just enjoy where we are
- on the first day we watch parade and had a great view so it feel really special to start our trip like this
- manage to see Dreams twice and loved it... even our 2 years old son was watching it and wasn't bored or so and it was 20 mins so for little one like him it had to be very enjoying
- had a great time with character at Cafe Mickey, food was ok but the whole visit well worth the price... we had reservation for 12.30 and after 1 it started to be be very busy so we are thinking of booking 12 for next time...
-the whole interaction our little boy had was great, we weren't sure how he reacts as wasnt so knee when we were on our one day trip in summer but this time we had much more time so could do caffe mickey, went to Disneyland hotel around breakfast time and had some photos there and just met character were we were just walking... they just appeared from one of the door... that was a big surprise as we didn't expect them at all...I would recommend everyone who is not staying at pink hotel just have a walk around its really lovely there... and if you want to see characters just go during breakfast time or at 4pm thur-sun...
-on the last day we went to meet Duffy as the quoe was really short and we wanted some character interaction for our little boy and he loved it... I would recommend if you kid is not too sure with character to start with Duffy as he always spend lots of time as he is not so famous as yet... I guess with relaunching him it to disney stores in Europe it can change but for now it no more like 5 mins waiting...

- I think the only low I could say it was a breakfast in park, I asked about it on check in and every other day but every time I got a different answer why I cannot have it, really would like to know the proper rules... I know it limited I'm fine with it but all the staff were just making up the story as they wanted...I might sent an email asking about when I got a minute, doubt I will get an answer but we will see...

will try to add some photos and make my first ever trip report later as well...

now I just need a good deal for 1st week of December as we want to come back for Xmas season... and if the price is right we might go for pink hotel for this trip pixiedust: but the next trip will be in summer I think... September 14 after new Ratatouille arena is open;)

Sounds like you had a lovely time, the new Cars themed rooms at the Santa Fe are great fun.

I had the same problem when I asked at the SF reception about Park Breakfasts. On two occasions I was told they were not doing them but during EMH the Plaza Gardens Restaurant was clearly open and serving Park Breakfasts.

I was told the same thing at the Santa Fe but I know guests at the Cheyenne at the same time were getting breakfast in the park vouchers - I wonder if the other 3 hotels are having more rooms made available, so they need the breakfast in the park flexibility more than the Santa Fe at the moment?

I have seen it before on past trips, when we've had breaKfast in the park at the Plaza Gardens - they had piles of vouchers on the entrance podium received from the Santa Fe, NBC and SL, but none for the Cheyenne?

How wonderful that your son took to the characters in such relaxed surroundings - I agree, I love a stroll through the DLH :goodvibes.

It might be due to the refurbishment at the SF. Quite a few blocks were closed for refurbishment on my trip so with all these rooms not occupied there was a lot of extra capacity at the La Cantina. I went to breakfast at a lot of different times during my stay from 7.30am to 10am and La Cantina was never that busy, always plenty of tables available.

That might be why they were not offering Park Breakfasts at the SF at moment.

I stayed at Cheyenne last week and was told they weren't doing breakfast in the park during the week and was offered it on the Saturday but not at Plaza Gardens.
