Well we survived the "family" trip to WDW and surounding area

we left home at 2am on 10/1 and drove 3 hours to Boston (got a great deal on a flight there)
arrived in Orlando went to walmart and got to the vacation home we rented around 7
This home was GREAT if your looking to rent one check it out
http://www.jansfloridavilla.co.uk/

We had 8 in our group 5 adults and never felt cramped

SAT: off to sea world and man was it a HOT HOT day
ate lunch with the sharks The view was great but the food
and the pricing were so so BUT the sharks were Awesome
we got a corner table right by the glass VERY COOL

SUN: start the day with CRT the cream cheese stuffed french
toast with blueberrys was worth all the time i spent
on the phone OH and the princess were great to
I have heard they are rushed But we had no complaint
they spent time talking to the kids and posed for a few
photos each
Philermagic is the BEST a must see!!!
MK closed at 6 so we hit the highlights knowing we would
back for MNSSHP on FRI

Greeted back at the pool by a army of Fire ants wow they
hurt when they bite DD got 28 bites i got 5
called the managment co up and they were great took care
of the nest right away we couldn't have asked for better
service

MON: MGM never has been my fave park and this trip didn't
change that.
DBIL and Nephew did TOT ( i am a chicken)
we did back lot tour and Indy
Star tours was good as usual and only a 5 minute wait

Left at 5 headed for MEDIEVAL TIMES
very awesome dinner show they have a new show if you
haven't been in awhile very simialer and still GREAT
Oh and Mondays area great night to go hardly any crowd
we have been there nights where people were cramed in
but this was GREAT

TUES: started a little later in the parks I let the kids swim a little
longer Gotta love the private pool
off to EPCOT My girls LOVE this park
we were to streched for time to wait in the 45 minute line
for mission space and most of the group didn't want to ride
any way but we did do test track kinda like the way my
DH drives here during the August horse racing season
stayed to see fireworks we were on the bridge and had a
GREAT view
By now MIL and SIL and their never ending shopping is
gettingon DH and my nerves but we smile and head onward
to universal

WED: universal- Nephew finally stoped with his I'm bored
complaints Can you imagine bored in DISNEY
well we had a GREAT time and i know these are DIS boards
but universal was fun too.

THURS: IOA we had never been and we Had so much fun
between rip saw falls and the bilge rat ride we were
SOAKED i don't mean wet we were literaly ringing out
our sneakers but it ws GREAT
then we got DH on Jurassic park told him it was another
water ride kinda like splash mountain
OOPS probably should have warned hime that the drop
is MUCH bigger and more intense

Went home to relax and swim for a few hours then we
headed out to Capones I won't go into the detail if you
interested checkout the posts on the orlando area board
let me just say we won't be doing that again

FRI Animal Kingdom WOW what a crowd
but a great park as usual
saw the parade finally we have always missed it in the past
It was so hot that KIng Louie had to leave the parade early
with help it looked like he actually passed out
We were disappointed in KALI won't be waiting in line for that
again oh well had to try it once

MNSSHP sold out wow what a crowd but it was a great time
we only got through 1/2 the park and got a bunch of candy
we all had fun but now we are very tired

SAT: Up early 4 am headed south on the turnpike my uncle lives
in Port St Lucie and we are spending the day Thankfully MIL
the rest of the group are NOT we need a break
had a nice visit and headed back
last minute souvenior stop at walmart on 192 and back
home

SUN: at MCO by 6 for a 7:30 flight home
we flew home SONG those little TV's are GREAT
the horrible turbulance and altitude changes not so
GREAT but we did have an awesome pilot who kept
telling us what was going on but WOW what a bumpy flight

home after returning rental car 5 pm
PHEW what a week

LESSONS LEARNED:
NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN will we plan for the whole family
it is to hard to make evryone happy They are welcome to
stay with us but our on there own for the parks

Never have to shop around and worry about where to
stay again found the perfect place with all we need
see link above i just can't say enough nice about
the house the owner (JAN is a DISer) and the management
co.

NEVER again will we go at the speed we did this trip
way to fast for our enjoyment we are going bak to
early mornings and home early to relax and enjoy the
pool

IT's NEVER to early to GO back we miss it already and are
planning to go back FEB 06 i just gotta get exact dates than
i can add a counter

WE had a GREAT trip there were jsut a few things we would do different

ANy questions ask away...

Whew! You guys did a lot! February is a great time to go, we did February last year and going this year too.:wave2:

I can sympathize with you on the shopping thing ... just back from a trip where I swear 2 members of our party needed to go into every shop, especially at Epcot - we missed almost all the entertainment, and didn't get past the shops to poke around the back areas of each country! Oh well, I'll be back but they probably won't, so I was willing to grin and bear it :p Still, it does get boring looking at the same merchandise most of the time, especially if you really have no intention of buying anything!

Great report. Loved the layout of writing, nice and easy to read. We are going with extra family in January and plan to apply splitting-up tactics. It is hard when you know what you want to do...still on with that planning for the next trip.

I know what you mean about going to WDW with extended family. I'm just back from that type of trip too (working on my trip report) and it really is hard to try to please everyone. If I ever go again with them (my 2 sisters, their families and my mom), they will make their own arrangements, except for flights & transportation, they can get their own room ressies, everything!!! I can't believe how much people can complain. I don't see anything to complain about when you are in WDW!!! We (me, DH, DS & DD) are planning a trip back in either Oct or Dec 2005. It'll be so nice to just go by ourselves!
