Sorry to say the lounge is still not opened. I was so hoping we would be able to use it this trip. Oh well, now I have a great excuse to come back at Christmas time. The lounge is looking beautiful though. There are two iron looking doors. Very ornate with trees. The counter tops are very rich looking. When you get off the elevator and turn left the lounge is in front of you. There is a door opening there. Then if you go right were the food tables usually are and turn down the hall to your left the second door opening is there facing the lobby. At the end of that hallway is where they have a plasma TV set up for the kids with table and chairs. The encasement for the TV's are very beautiful. If you go past the food tables and take a left down the next hallway there is another plasma TV set up for the adults. This hallway also looks over the lobby. They have a couch and chairs set up around the TV.

There are just a few glitches with the lounge. The manager/president of WL doesn't like the lighting and wants it redone. They are very serious and excited about this lounge. They have spared no expenses. They want everything to be perfect before opening. They even sent the marble garbage cans back because they just weren't right. They are now saying they don't know when the lounge will be open.

I did find out the WL is getting ready to get a pretty good rehab. New fixtures, furniture, bedding, flooring. They said those of us who have been here before will be amazed at the changes.

Our time here has been wonderful. CM Brandon has gone out of his way to make our stay magical. We will definitely be coming back and staying Concierge level. In our opinion it has been worth every penny.

Sounds like this'll be faboo when it's all done! Le sigh. We're so looking forward to our very first WLC visit. But sadly, we must wait another five months to go. Dec. 5 can't come soon enough -- Skipper Bubba and I are in dire need of a Disney fix.

When I spoke with the Manager over Concierge around the 1st of June, Mark said they would start the rehab on the 7th floor.

I wouldn't give up hope just yet. The lounge is pretty much done and they are just working out a few minor details. On Friday they were stocking it with all the supplies, glasses, plates, coffee pots, etc. So I think they are pretty close to opening it. It is really beautiful. On Friday they had put up this beautiful painting of the geyser. It was really nice. If I had to guess, I think you will be using the lounge on your trip. You have to let us know how it is. We'll be back there in December and I can't wait to use it then. You are going to have a wonderful time. The CM's were absoultely fabulous. Daisy and Brandon especially went out of their way to make everything magical. Hope you have a great time.

I think reading this just made me feel a lot better I can't wait to see the new lounge. And I guess even if it's not operational, we'll still get to see it! Did they let you take any pictures of it? I'd love to be able to take pics, even if it's not open yet during our trip. I can't wait to meet the concierge CMs. Wilderness Lodge concierge will be our very first concierge experience at Disney World

They wouldn't let us take any pics. I guess they want it to be a surprise for everyone. But we were able to go in and look, (usually when no one was looking)! It looks like it is really going to be wonderful. I can not say enough about the CM's. When we first arrived, Daisy met us down at the valet area to welcome us and personally walk us up. Our room was ready and they took us right there. They said we could settle in and then go back to check in. Everything went so smoothly on this trip. We got back last night. I will post a trip report soon. I hope you get to feeling better.

Have a great time in Dec. I'm not sure when our next trip will be. We were SO close to buying into DVC but DH wants to wait to pay off some bills first. Maybe in the spring. I would like to go in Dec. as well but definitely sometime before our PAP's expire next June.
