We are at WDW-Live report from AKV.....Arrived today & pictures added!

We get there in 2 days! Your pictures got me so excited!! :cheer2: Maybe we will pass each other sometime.

The morning started off beautiful!!!

I just think Animal Kingdom is such a pretty park. We went to Asia first and got our FP for EE and then headed to the Safari. This was around 10am and we only waited maybe 15 minutes for the KS.:thumbsup2

Then we made our way back to Asia and saw D'vine...She is lovely! Don't have her picture uploaded yet...

Then we used our FP for EE and it was so awesome that we got another FP for later..

Road Dinasour, Primevil Whirl and went to see Tough to be a bug..

Bug eyes!

Then I had read about the Dawa bar so we had to try the Dawa Coloda with Pina Coloda with Raspberry infused puree...It was delightful!!!

Then the rain came!!! We still had a blast!! DD and I got to ride in the front car of EE in the rain!! So much fun!!

Here is Mom and Jo in the midst of the rain......

We never waited more than 20 minutes for anything today...

So we are now back at AKV and headed to Mara for something to eat..Planning to go to DTD this evening.....:goodvibes

Very interested in your report because I am thinking of going the same time next May.How are the crowds and weather? Have a wonderful trip and so jealous of those adult beverages:banana:

Love live TR's! AKV looks so inviting esp the Savannah view. Will try to book a couple nights there on our next family trip - can't wait for my granddaughters to be old enough to have a girls only trip.

The crowds are a bit heavy at times, but very managable. We have used FP and really have not waited more than 20 min for anything. I will let you know as the weeks goes on. I figure the weekend is always busier. Weather has been warm and a bit humid...nothing horrible though...really nice in the shade and when you catch a breeze. This afternoon was a little stormy. I am sitting on our balcony now and the breeze feels nice...the rain cooled everything down. We plan to head to DTD around 7.

We had a bite to eat at Mara and the Veggie flatbread was excellent. Mom also really liked the grilled chicken ceasar salad.

Thanks for all the great info:thumbsup2

We go in about 4 weeks, so it is good to be able to get this information!

Looks like you are having fun!

So last night we went to DTD ,but got in late so I did not post....:faint:

It was pretty packed last night. World of Disney was wall to wall people as usual......Still we had a great time!
The flowes are just gorgeous around DTD.

They had some great entertainment and bands playing last night. It was a beautiful evening to sit out and listen to music.

The we had to eat at our favorite place. Wolfgang puck express...Josie had her favorite Pepperoni flat bread pizza and then we all had the crème brulee.
It is our favorite dessert at WDW.

I ended up getting a wrap from Earl of Sandwich and it was good too. I got the Baja chicken wrap.:thumbsup2

We got back around 10:30 and went to bed.

Day 3 Beach Day!!
Our day started out a bit rough. I called Alamo for the shuttle and she said be ready for a 9:10am pick up. Well we sat there almost an hour and I called 3 times and finally they picked us up.:confused3 Aggravating, but we got over it. Once we got to the rental place it went really quick and we got in our Malibu and headed to the beach.

Just a little less than an hour and we were in Cocoa Beach. We spent the day Alan Shepard park. $7 to park and we were able to rent an umbrella, 2 loungers and body board for $30.:beach:

The clouds looked a bit scary today, but then it cleared off nicely and turned into a beautiful day at the beach.
We ate at this cool little open air beach bar called the Sandbar. $1 margaritas after 4 on Mondays! We had some really good crab legs and peel and eat shrimp. Prices were great too and they had an acoustic guitarist playing. It was nice.

So after we had dinner we checked out Ron Jon's and got a Starbucks and made our way back to AKV.

Heading back the skies were black and lightening and we could tell it had poured here. We were greeted back at AKV with a beautiful rainbow.pixiedust:

I was headed to the laundry and one of the cast members told us it got so bad that two lightening strikes were dangerously close to guests waiting for the buses at MK. So glad we headed to the beach today.:sad1:

We also saw on CNN all the destruction in OK...crazy storms....:sad1:

So anyway that was our day!! Nice break from the parks. We decided to just keep the car till morning since we are headed to MK. It is on the way and they will drop us off at the park afterwards.

Planning to have lunch at Be our Guest tomorrow......Stay tuned.:thumbsup2

Mom and Josie just called me to our balcony...we can actually hear and see the top of Wishes from MK and see the Eiffel tower lit up at Epcot!! COOL!

See you all tomorrow......Vacation tired is the best tired!!!;)

Loving your TR. The rainbow was sweet. I think AKL is one of my most favorite places in the world to just sit and relax. Thinking about it is helping me get through the last 8 days of school.

What a great beach day:beach: OMG those crab legs look good.Hope your having a great day and thanks for sharing:)

We got up early this morning and just grabbed some fruit and a pastry from Mara and then headed to Alamo to return the car.:thumbsup2 Very easy and they took us right to MK and dropped us off..Actually at the Poly and we grabbed the mono rail so it worked.

We got to MK just as the pre opening show was wrapping up. Crowds were really not too bad at all.

Was a beautiful morning!

We headed for Fantasyland and rode Peter pan first since that line can be long all day and I love that ride.:) We then headed for NEW Fantasyland and checked out Gaston's tavern and rode the Little Mermaid with just a 5 minute wait.
Josie had to see Gaston!! He is such a ham...have to upload some pics from my digital camera of him. We plan to try some Lafou's brew tonight. The cinnamon rolls looked awesome!!!:goodvibes

We headed to the new storybook circus and rode Dumbo with no wait! That was fun.

We decided to ride Haunted mansion and then Pirates and both less than 10 minute wait. Love to get there first thing in the morning.

By then it was around 11ish and we decided to get in line for BOG! I had to eat lunch there. When we passed by about 10:20 the line was around the corner and over the bridge!!:scared1:

We got in line at 11:22 and the line was too the end of the gates and they said 45 min to an hour, but it was not at all!!! The line moved quickly so don't be scared by the lines for BOG.

We were inside and at our table with food by 12:05!!!:thumbsup2

Ordering was very easy with the Kiosk.

You can even do special request. Josie ordered the grilled ham with Gruyere cheese, but did not want the sauce and you can click to take it off. Really cool and made her happy.:goodvibes

So they must have changed the steak sandwich because now it is a sort of roast beef and it is very good and tender!! Mom and I both ordered that and the French onion soup. The sandwiches are so big that we wished we would have shared one. Next time we will for sure.

Mom and I got the crème puffs for dessert and Jo had the Strawberry cream cheese cupcake and all were delish!!!;)

The French onion soup was also very rich and good...They also had good fresh brewed iced tea. Nice to have real plates and silverware too. We also loved how they brought our food on the rolling cart. Very nice!
Our bill came to about $66 for the 3 of us. Not to awful, but like I said we could have split a sandwich and saved some money.

We chose to eat in the Beast quarters it was dark and relaxing and when it would thunder the prince picture would turn to the Beast and the rose was cool too!

The lunch at Be Our Guest was well worth the wait! We all enjoyed it very much. Glad I did it since I gave up my BOG dining reservation.

So after lunch we were stuffed and we went to ride the people mover and relax and then took in the Monster laugh floor.

Then storm clouds started rolling in so we thought it would be a good time to take a break at the resort before heading back to MK this evening.

So it was a great day at Magic Kingdom and we will be headed back this evening. I really want to see Wishes. We might go watch from new Fantasyland tonight. I heard it is a cool view from the back????:goodvibes

It has never really rained too much so I think I will head to the pool...Signing out for now....:thumbsup2

Loving your report! We arrive at AKV in 22 days! So until them I'm living Disney vicariously through you! Enjoy!

Magic Kingdom was fun last night and watching Wishes from the new Fantasyland was pretty cool and much less crowded. The fireworks surrounded us and where going off over Beast castle.

We were out pretty late so I could not get Josie moving this morning...:worried:

Mom is heading back home to STL today so I have her all checked in for her flight and ME is picking her up soon.

Josie and I are trying to get to Disney Studios!!!:hyper: On my app Toy Story mania FP are already up to 4pm...UGH!!!

So leaving soon...Talk to you guys tonight.

WOW you got a lot done at MK in the morning:thumbsup2I'm interested to know if there is star wars stuff going on at HS during the week or is it only on the weekends?

We are here now and there is no Star wars stuff happening. It was early magic hours morning so it is a bit crowded...we have a FP for TSM and RRC. In line for TOT now...20 min wait. So things calming down a bit since when we first got here.

Last night the 9pm Fantasmic show was standing room only so we decided to skip it....we had the FP for TSM and wow that is the ticket for that ride. Walked right on!!!! I would never wait in a 80 min ljne. It was a lot of fun.
We are on the bus to Epcot now...Lunch at Chef's de France today....we may grab a FP for the new Test track and then head back to the new France Patisserie for breakfast....I read it is open for breakfast, but not a lot of people go.
Will report more later.

Headed back 2 epcot for the evening after an afternoon break. We went to breakfast in France and it worked out perfect. Hardly anyone was there and we got some great pictures. Then we went back to future world and rode the new test track it was really cool. We then decided to grab fast pass for mission space. Ran over to the Nemo at the Living Seas. Then we grab a fastpass for Soarin and headed back to Mission Space. We waited till later to get the fastpass for Soarin so we coule ride it later in the day.
At 1:50 we had our ADR for Chef's de france and were seated right by the windows and I loved that. We were even visited by Remi and he is so cute. Lunch was awesome and relaxing.
Will post pictures soon. Took an afternoon break and now we are headed back for Illuminations and our FP for Soarin.
