We are at WDW-Live report from AKV.....Arrived today & pictures added!

It is 5:15 am and Josie and I are headed to MK to kick off the 24 hour event!!! Sitting at the bus stop in darkness.......will report soon!!!
Let the fun begin!!!!!

So yesterday we spent the day at my favorite park! EPCOT!

Our plan to have a nice relaxing breakfast in France worked out perfect. We walked through WS and we told the lady at the rope that we wanted to go to the bakery and she said go right ahead! It was empty and nice!! That place gets crazy sometimes! We got some great pictures too. We both had the chocolate croissants and cappuccino! Very nice!

Then we made our back past Canada which looks stunning!

We then headed to FW to use our FP's and visit the Living seas with NEMO.:goodvibes

Then in the afternoon we headed to Chef's de France for our 1:50 ADR and was seated right away and next to the windows. It was great and soon after we were seated we were visited by Remi! He is just adorable!! I am so glad we got to see him. It is amazing how he interacts with everyone.

Lunch was really good! I got the pre fixed with the French onion soup and the toasted ham and cheese. Josie had the mac n cheese with the gruyere cheese.
She loved it. The bread they served was also wonderful and I even had a glass of Chardonnay and it was only 6.95. We shared the dessert that came with my pre fix and got the crème brulee!! Yum! Service was excellent too.

So then we headed back to AKV to rest up and came back in the evening. Used our FP for Soarin and then headed to WS. I had to get my Fiesta Margarita from Mexico! Wonderful and refreshing!

By the way the Dole whip is gone from Epcot!!!!:worried: Sorry...we wanted more and it was gone...

Josie wanted more from the France Bakery so we headed there again! I felt like I spent all day in France!

We then staked out a great spot near Canada for Illuminations...Fabulous as ever!pixiedust:

So we headed back to AKV to get to bed....

Our alarm went off at 4:45 this morning!!! Was not as bad as I thought it would be! We got ready and was at the bus stop at 5:15 and no one was there!! Getting a bit worried and then another couple showed up. Then the bus came with a few rowdy people from Kidani and we were on our way!

Once we arrived there were lots of people at MK and the press was there and radio stations. Very exciting! They gave us all special pins for the event.
Then the train conductor come and Mike and Sulley and they counted down the opening for the 24 hour All nighter. Then Mickey and his friends came on the train!

Once inside it was great...Everything was lite up and it was just cool walking down Mainstreet at dawn.

We met two friends from the DIS boards that we sailed on the Disney Dream with and hung with them all morning. It was a lot of fun. We had the park practically to ourselves till around 9:30. We walked on everything and went to Gaston's and had a cinnamon roll for breakfast...miss the bakery on Mainstreet...:(
Still it was all good.

Around 10:30 things started picking up...We rode Splash Mountain and then had some Nachos from the Tortuga Tavern and the headed out. The nachos were not too bad and they had a fixen bar too.:goodvibes

We bought ourselves the commemorative t shirts to wear tonight! They are really cute.

Crowds were getting bigger and tons of people coming in when we left.

I am sure it is really crowded and really HOT! about now...::yes::

Josie is sleeping and I just came up from the pool...Planning to head back this evening in time for Wishes and then planning to stay till 6:00am!!

Wish us luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly this is our last day.. It has been an awesome week!! I have us checked in for our flight, but we decided no packing till morning....We do not want to think about going home...We have an exciting night ahead of us!!!:cloud9:

We hung in there till 5:15am this morning........we are exhausted!!!
The park was absolutely packed when we arrived at 9:30 and stayed pretty busy all throughout the night. We did not ride much since we had done that in the morning. Was a crazy fun night!!!
3 hours of sleep and now I am packing. ME picking us up at 11:35.
Was a great vacation, but I am ready for my own bed!!

Glad you had a good time. Sounds like loads of fun. I'm a big Monsters Inc fan and love seeing the special snacks they had at the all nighter. Hope to see some of that this summer. 44 days :):cool1: thanks for sharing

Looks like you had a great time! 5:15? Pretty good!! My daughter and I are taking a girls trip in March and I cant wait!

One of the greatest Trip Reports I have ever read! Thank you for the effort you put into sharing this with us! I watched a little bit of the "live-cam" at the entrance of MK last night...cool that you two lasted the whole night...lots of dancing(it looked like).

I totally understand how you waited to pack until the last minute...leaving Disney sucks!

P.S.-So glad there wasn't one mention of a *fly*! :D

Thank you so much. I really enjoyed writing it. I will post some pictures from last night soon.
Nope no mention of flies...lol Although......We did see a couple while at breakfast at Mara this morning:)
We are back in St Louis and all went smooth with ME and the resort airline check in for the airport.
Looks like WDW was going to be busy this weekend.

It was nice meeting you and Josie at the disney24 event! I hung in until 5am then headed back to my hotel to sleep. It was nice reading your "blog" as Josie calls it! Haha!

It was great meeting you too! We were getting pretty tired by 2:00am so the meet perked us up a bit!!:thumbsup2

Then we went to Gaston's Tavern and Josie had the Lafou brew and then decided to ride the tea cups!!! OMG!! Not a good idea...She felt really sick after that. So about 5:15 am she was like "I need to get out of here"! So we headed back to AKV and slept for 3 hours and then got up, went to breakfast and got ready to ME to pick us up for the airport.:goodvibes

It was a great way to end our trip with the 24 hour day, but we were exhausted by the time we got home.
I slept 12 hours and Josie slept 15 hours!! It was all worth it!!!:thumbsup2

We had the best week and I can not wait to come back!!!

I was planning to add a lot more to my trip report tonight, but my lap top and photo bucket is not cooperating!

Anyway I can post a couple pics...I have to go back to our Disney studios day. we got a late start since we were trying to get mom off on ME.
We got to the studios around 11 am and already TSM was 110 min and FP were past 6pm so we got one.

Did Muppet vision and Star tours..both new for us. had a fun time! Then rode TOT and got a FP for RNR.

Then rain started coming...Had lunch at ABC commissary. It was ok, but probably would not eat there again. Had burger and Jo had the fried fish and shrimp.
So we watched it rain a little and then decided we would not let a little rain stop the fun!

We rode TOT twice and then made two young girl's night by giving them our 3rd time FP for 8pm...They were so happy!!:thumbsup2

We finished our night watching Blood, sweat and shears on the main stage! They were great and a lot of fun.
The 9:15 Fantasmic was standing room only so we decided to just get a Jack Skellington Candy apple and head back to the resort..Apple dipped in caramel and the dipped in white chocolate!! yum.

So my battery is running down so I will add more later!!

So I must add the picture of my Jack Skellington Caramel apple! It was very tasty and so cute! We love Jack!

Here you can see how busy the park was around 9pm when everyone was headed to Fantasmic......We still had a great day and using FP we never really waited much for any ride.

Some of Josie and I favorite places to hang out is in Epcot!! We just love the World Showcase so much. I never get tired of going through the countries.

France!

Italy!

United Kingdom!

This was all first thing in the morning last Thursday!! I love being there when WS opens..Nice to explore without a ton of people!!
