Well I am finally home. Great trip at VV - we were in building 16 overlooking the small beach area. We loved being on the Keys side as it was very quiet and practically no one using the pool the entire week (except for us). Let me know if anyone has specific questions.

They do not have it in the rooms but it is available in the business center. Sorry I don't know the charge as we did not use it.

Hi 2minnies, we will be at the Villages in August for our first time. Can you tell me what stores are nearby for grocery shopping? Did you do any activities offered at the resort? How long did it take you to get to the various Disney Parks and Universal?

I am glad to hear that you had a fun trip! We will be at VV in late May/early June.... I would love to hear about everything.... including the drive times to the parks! And do they have a shuttle? We will have a car, but my kids are old enough that we may split up sometimes.... and a shuttle would be nice if we do!!! Also.... what location should we request? and do you have a map of the resort layout? I would love to see one!!! Thanks!!!

We will also be staying at vv this august for the first time. Can you please tell me what kind of coffee filters we need. Also, can we take towels from the pool area and bring them back to our room? We visited the resort last year when we stayed at vistana resort, we liked the look of it, so we are trying it this year.

We did not visit the parks on this trip, but when we stayed here another time it was about 15 minutes to MK/Epcot/MGM. We have not visited Animal Kingdom or Universal. During a busy time it would take a bit longer due to traffic.

There is a Publix supermarket about 1 mile south on International Drive. There also is a Walgreens drugstore in the same shopping center.

There are organized activities every day - ranging from Power Walking, Duck Races, Water Balloon Toss, Tshirt Painting, Bingo, etc. There is a fee for some such as Crafts, TShirt Painting and the like. I don't know what the charge is since we did not participate in any of those. The activities are at the main pool in the original section.

According to the information I received at checkin, owners and RCI exchange guests must purchase shuttle passes for $9 per person, round trip per day. Renters are complimentary.
Two trips are made to each of the four Disney parks per day - 8am and 915 am. Return from the MK is 730pm, Epcot 715 and 945. You must use Disney transportation to travel to either of the above parks to return from MGM and AK.

I do have a map but I don't know how to post it - I'd be happy to make a copy and snail mail it to you. I'll send a pm.

We were in the Keys section (newer) with six buildings and the original section has 11. The original section has the bigger pool, but we were happy with the pool at the Keys. It was a short walk to the big pool if we wanted to visit there.

Coffee filters - the "regular" not cone shaped kind. You were supposed to sign out towels and return but most times the staff just told you to take them. We did keep them in our room and return later.
