We all know what we love: but, what do we NOT like about Disney?

As silly as it sounds we used to enjoy the bathrooms at the parks when they had the powdered soap and they were spotlessly clean. I don't like how they are not kept **** and span like they used to be.

I hate hearing people curse at Disney. I mean, come on, this is a magical family place with children EVERYWHERE! And I hate when smokers do not stick to the designated smoking section. It's there for a reason. Don't ruin the atmosphere for others, it's not fair. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Me too! :confused3

I have a few. :teeth:

1. No villain character meals
2. Snotty CMs (not too many of those, but a bad apple can spoil a whole bunch - kinda kills the Dis "magic" - I have experienced this on the cruise more than the world)
3. Food is priced ridiculously high

1. They used to have a villain character meal at the GF, but they stopped it because it scared way too many kids. I guess it was too intense.
2. I know! I had this really snotty CM on Big Thunder, it really ticked me off.
3. The restaurants usually give large portions, so if you can agree on something, share. And in the sit down restaurants, they don't charge extra if you share the meal. It's great. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Merchandise is so high :crazy2:

I hate that I plan out every detail...what parks to visit, where to eat, at what times, on which specific days and dispite my planning it seems like we end up winging it for one reason or another.

Absolutely agree.

My biggest gripe is the transportation system at WDW. Disney has been talking about for years replacing much of the bus system with a light rail or other system, but the project does not seem to be moving (pun intended). You can lose a tremendous amount of time waiting for buses to take you from one place to another. Particularly if you want to go from one resort to another, you either have to go to an intermediate point (like one of the parks) and take bus to the 2nd resort or be lucky enough to find out a shortcut from a bus driver. The latter has happened to me once or twice ("Joe, driving the XX bus that's about a minute behind me, actually stops Resort #2 on his way to XX").

I agree completely. I've spoken about this very thing many times. I've really lacked some of the intended enjoyment of staying on property by having to drive myself around and not using the Disney transporation. On our honeymoon my wife and I found ourselves wasting over 2 hours per day (yes we timed it) waiting for buses, JUST WAITING! between leaving our resort (CBR) going to a park, waiting for the return bus from the park during mid day, returning back to the park and back again at night, which was the worst.

After 3 days we began driving ourselves to the parks, except for MK, since we didnt want to have to take the monorail or ferry to the park. It really became a big burden and really reduced the enjoyment as I loved the idea of not touching my car for two weeks. Something needs to be done about the bus system. I say completely change the form of transporation or double the buses.

I dislike the waits we have encountered waiting for buses...numerous times...it makes transferring from place to place very time consuming, which is frustrating on a vacation (and an expensive one at that). Oh well, there are so many things to love about WDW.

If people have 2 FP, it would defeat the point. There would be too many people with it, creating a wait, thus destroying the purpose. It also allows FP to be distributed longer throughout the day (unlike at Universal when the stupid things were gone for EVERYTHING by 10 am - ridiculous). Besides, you can always return AFTER the designated time, you just can't go before. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Well...they need to do something about it. My point is that no matter what, there will always be a wait somewhere. 3 HOURS wait! I think there was one time it says on my FP that I have to wait for 4 HOURS. Guess what my kids and I did, went back to our resort, but never made it back.

I am just overly spoiled staying at the Universal property. You just can't beat the FOTL.

While I love ALMOST everything in Disney ...
These things I hate:

1. The very high cost of food.
2. Many resorts on one crowded bus.
3. I also preferred the powdered soap
4. Bathrooms used to be cleaner

I really wish Pleasure Island was 21+ after a certain hour or on some nights.

I also wish the Villains would have a character meal again, I never got a chance to do it.

totally agree about busing...think program stinks...especially if your at bw...you share bus with Swan, Dolphin and YC/BC

that is why we now split our stay...we stay at poly then over to bwv.
so we can use the rails when at poly and either walk or boat to mgm or epcot.
the only bus we would have to take is for AK and usually we rent a car, so we just drive.

my other disappointment is zero entry pools....I hate that pools are now no higher than 5 feet.

give me a pool 8 feet and over in the deep end. I believe keeps you more refreshed.

guess it is a liability thing though....

I hate that it is ALL THE WAY in FL. or THat I am ALL THE WAY in OH.

The over-the-top, fancy-schmancy, have-to-have-it-explained-to-me food in the sit down restaurants. What the heck is wrong with fried chicken and roast beef? I know there are a few places where you can get a "normal" meal, but they're few and far between - and so overpriced! I know I'm a country bumpkin, but if a menu contains the words "reduction, crusted, pan-seared, wasabi (what is that?) sun-dried, infusion, arugula (sp.?) or tartare", I'm outta there! Am I the only one who just wants food, and not cuisine?

I dislike people in the park who do not obey the Non Smoking and designated Smoking area's. It was the ONE thing that bothered me the most--so much so that I even told someone they were smoking in front of my child would they please move to a designated smoking area!!!!!!!!!

I hate the fact that answers you get from CMs when you call re: hotel questions, park hour discrepancies, and meal plan questions all vary. They will only answer the specific question you ask and never divulge any additional helpful data with regard to reservations. The wait on hold is often ugly and if one answer doesn't seem correct, just call back and you will get someone else who will give you a different one. I depend on this board for more accurate data than I can get from CMs when I call. :sad2:

There is absolutely NOTHING that I do not like about Disney!

When this thread is finished, we should email it to Disney.

These are a few of my least favorite things:

4. No PS system online.
3. The ridiculously high resort prices.
2. IASW

and finally (drumroll).....

1. Line-cutting, foul-mouthed, no-deodorant-wearing, stopping-in-the-middle-of-the-sidewalk, smoking-while-walking, stroller-rammming, character-hogging, flash-picture-taking, child-abusing, personal-space-invading, arriving-last-minute-then-stand-in-front-of-others-for-a-parade, not-watching-their-children, sticking-their-tongue-down-the-throat-of-their-boyfriend/girlfriend-while-in-line, changing-a-diaper-on-a-restaurant-table, not-taking-off-their-Sorcerer-Mickey-hat-during-a-show, walking-down-the-sidewalk-with-their-party-of-twelve-strung-out-like-a-defensive-line, littering, rule-ignoring, public-argument-conducting, peeing-on-the-seat-in-the-bathroom-or-worse-on-the-sidewalk, screeching-in-the-resort-hallway-at-three-am, really-bad-attitude-having crowds.

that basicaly(sp?) sums it all up for what i don't like at disney. Another name could be the "i don't care what other people think" people.

For me it would have to be that I always seem to pick the queue which takes the longest to get to the ride. And also when you get two teenagers infront of you in a queue that suddenly becomes 12 of them when you get to the ride!! Or, as in most walks of life, when people just stop dead infront of you instead of stepping to one side - how annoying! ok, now I sound like an old misery, Ill stop!! :earsboy:
