We all here appreciate all veterans...

A HUGE Thank You for your service ! I appreciate your sacrifice and your family’s for our Country who can never repay you the debt we owe you for your Service ! Please always know we love and appreciate and are forever grateful for each and every one of you !! ❤️❤️ One day is just not enough to say Thank You !!!

I said this before but please consider a charity that services Veterans when considering your yearly donations - I work for one ( I’m not plugging mine here ) I’m just saying if you have no idea I can suggest a few good ones where MOST of your donation goes towards the veteran !
Just because the war has ended the need has not - their sacrifice and injuries are lifelong they require lifelong care
Thank you!!!

I really like it when I see the Veterans proudly wearing hats signifying where and when they served. I always like to take a moment to thank them.

I recently read that some vets would prefer you say to them "Never Forget" instead of the typical "Thank you for service" Never forget signifies to them that we are all in this together. Just might say both statements next time. In the end, just saying something points to the fact we appreciate they were/are willing to put their life on the line for Old Glory.

On a upsetting note, did you hear about the Redmond, WA school in my area that replaced the traditional Veterans Assembly with a "Peace Assembly" to honor the “International Day of Tolerance” sponsored by the U.N. Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. They didn't play the traditional patriot songs you would expect to hear honoring our Veterans.

Don't get me wrong, I am all for peace but V-Day is to celebrate our Veterans. Have the Peace assembly on some other day but don't rob our vets of the day we should be honoring them.

Thank you to all our Veterans ❤️🇺🇸

Seems to be someone's rant with an agenda

A district spokesperson downplayed the decision to replace the Veterans Day assembly. She noted that students will still learn about Veterans Day and honor veterans by “watching videos about the sacrifices that veterans have made and making cards to thank veterans.” Those cards will be delivered to Seattle VA Medical Center. The spokesperson said this provides a “more personal connection between students and veterans.”

Yes, it does sound that way. The school seems to be wanting to amplify the idea of Veterans Day even mire with more student interaction and appreciation of our veterans. Good for them for thinking out of the box a bit and making the day even better, a good learning experience for the students in the concept of empathy.

I saw this in a comment posted in a news article. It made me stop and think, and remember:

IT IS THE SOLDIER

It is the soldier, not the minister, who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to protest.

It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the soldier, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote.

It is the soldier who salutes the flag, serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the
protester to burn the flag. Charles M. Province

* As a military member and as a veteran, I support the ideals of this nation and her people, not the politicians. I will raise my flag and stand for the anthem no matter who is in office.
