There are chairs at the beachNot having a chair to sit on at the beach is the only thing that will really annoy me. I hate sitting in sand but love the beach.![]()
This is absolutely true, but they’re only two rows deep of chairs at the beach where you can see the ocean with the rest of them behind the dunes. For smaller ships- not as much of an issue. For larger ships? According to reports about today very much an issue. There are chairs at the beach
If that is indeed the case then it can be fixed. Chairs and umbrellas can be moved easily enough. I’m a little confused by this. If it’s an easy enough fix, why didn’t Disney put more of the chairs where you have direct access to the ocean and do not have to go over a dune? I assume you’re not suggesting that guest move chairs across the dunes, right? If that is indeed the case then it can be fixed. Chairs and umbrellas can be moved easily enough. Of course not. Although Guests move chairs at Castaway all over the place. The crew then have to go and move them back at the end of the day. It’s called “pull beach” and it’s horrible haha.I’m a little confused by this. I 100% understand that, but means it is not an easy fix as implied. It means that for any cruises booked in the foreseeable future (or currently available) that ocean access chairs (where you don't have to cross a dune to get to the water) will be hard to come by if sailing on the Dream or Fantasy and guests should be awareThey showed in one video where the tide gets much higher there. That's why there aren't a ton of chairs out on the actual beach.
Also, it's new. They'll be regrading that beach for the next couple of years. PITA to do work like that and to have move a million chairs before you can work.

I have no idea why it was done that way. But don’t forget it’s only Day 2. Changes have been made since Day 1 already so everyone is learning as they go
For the first half the sun was behind a cloud and was not bad. It was hot once the cloud went away.
The trams were waiting for us and seemed to be a lot of them.
Realized you were asking about a tram on the pier. It is walkable for sure.
So they are discriminating against the folks, that just want a ride in the hot sun, you MUST have a mobility issue?? Are they requiring paperwork from a doctor, I mean, come on! Castaway Cay, everyone can ride the trams, it is terrific. So they really are saying you have to have a problem in order to ride?Nope. only people with mobility issues and Cabana guests. Everyone else hoofs it.
MJ
Everyone can ride the trams at Lookout Cay, too. There isn't a tram on the pier, though, and giving everyone golf cart rides isn't practical. It would just take forever. So they are discriminating against the folks, that just want a ride in the hot sun, you MUST have a mobility issue?? seems to me Josh D. might be buying some more trams if they can be supported on the pier... unsure....Everyone can ride the trams at Lookout Cay, too. There isn't a tram on the pier, though, and giving everyone golf cart rides isn't practical. It would just take forever.

This is a problem. We really don't need a HA cabin most of the time, but my daughter has EDS and it can really flare up big time. Some days she's fine and then some days just walking from the house to the car is incredibly painful. I never know what her day is going to look like. I don't want to take a HA cabin away from someone who needs it just so we can ensure she can get off the ship at one stop.Travel Planner on the ship said they asked and were told only guests who have BOOKED a H/A Cabin can use the cart transportation.
I don't know why people think this. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride? Snow White? There are a lot of original Disneyland rides that used IP. And similarly, Disney has opened a lot of things that don't have IP. I think there's a mix back in the day and a mix now.Everything is centered around IPs now. It used to be more subtle but it's been much more in your face the last few years

I really don't mind the island looking the way it does, my wife and I are there for the calm and the beach. I do got to ask though, do you think the fly issue can/will be resolved at some point? I've seen so many negative reviews and videos, even showing the flies all over the food on the pool deck of the ship :/.I understand there are some concerns and some of them will be able to easily be addressed but it will take time to do so. Some changes have already been made in 2 days.
There is no point saying something is boring; Disney planned for it to look this way. It is not supposed to be “Disneyfied”. It is basically a port that showcases Bahamian culture, offers a stunning beach, beautiful hiking/biking trails and activities for the kids with a few Disney touches thrown in. They were very careful about the way they have done things to protect the wiIdlife and natural environment. I think it is a great destination overall and can’t wait to spend quality time there
