WDWWDS - Quench your thirst

I dunno....I'd say Ani is around 8 or 9 ish in Ep1. How about 8 and a half?

There will be the Survivor Fantasy League again. This is run by CBS, but there are usually several teams on the DIS who informally compete. The past WDWWDS teams haven't fared well because of lack of interest from the water drinkers. We have yet to field a complete team. The overall winner on the CBS site wins a car usually.

Once again OT I will leave it up to KP. I will tell you that one of those two numbers is correct. There are two possibilities: a) choose either 8 or 9, b) if KP agrees to the 8.5 then you score the point. Let me know what you guys decide.

I’m all for a WDWWDS Survivor Team. If you are putting a team together and have an extra spot please let me know.

I'm in. I'm in. Survivor Fantasy League

says Lizzie as a feeling of complete addiction to these fantasy leagues starts to take over her.

Boss - it's actually documented what Anakins' age is in Ep1, so I'm going to have to go with dogma on this one.

And my Huttese is a little rusty, so 'Shag' may mean lowlife, slave or ruffian.

Woo Hoo Survivor Fantasy League!!! OT, you know I am in (being a charter member of your Survivor Fantasy League teams :teeth: ). I was so excited when I saw the participant info was up!!!!!
:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I'd love to play too - but considering the fact that you all might actually WANT to win, I can't see how you would want me to join...(where IS that crying smiley when you need it???) :(

I take it KP that you will allow OT to have his point. The young lad is 9 years of age in Episode 1. As for the question to your answer, SLAVE is correct. You truly are amazing.

Round 6 from Star Wars

Where was Luke going in order to evade having to clean the droids?

Luke finds R2-D2 in the...?

Huh? A little vague on what you're after. But Luke and Uncle Owen buy R2 from the Jawas (with 3PO's suggestion) after the first R2 unit they bought blows up due to a bad motivator.

BTW, Madonna was on the last Fantasy League team and I think it's fair to say that she really sucked at it.

Ok - for those of us new to the WDWWDS will someone please explain the Survivor Fantasy League.

Hey where's Itsa?

The question may seem a little vague but I post them as I find them. This one in particular was under the heading EASY.

Not being a Star Wars fanatic I have no idea if your answer is correct. The response I was looking for was "Jundland Wastes". If that is where the Jawas are located then the point you earn. Will either you or KP please confirm?

See - THAT's the reason that I won't be allowed to join this time...

But Oh great one - I KNOW that this time around I will be able to WATCH the show...does that help???

Hey where's Itsa?
Well since all that's been going on around here lately is Star Wars talk - you know what that makes him??

Smarter then us. ;)

Count me in on the Survivor fantasy League, although I'm convinced that some people who compete actually know the results before the show airs.

Boss - your question for OT was a little vague, so I say give it to him.

As for me - Luke wanted to go to Anchorhead to buy some new power converters.

M - I like your MuppetVision quote - very nice;) He can feel free to join your Survivor conversation.

Lizzie, the game hasn't started on the CBS site yet. Usually this isn't until the second week or so. But what you do every week is select a personal team of any 4 of the active players in the show. Assigning your team members can be done up til about an hour before the show starts. Then during the show points are awarded to each competitor...for example, x number of points if the player kisses the Immunity Idol, y points if the player cries, z points if the player wins immunity, n points if the player gets naked, negative points if the player is voted out etc. There are like 10 - 15 ways to score points all of which are listed on the site. After the show, all the points are tallied for the team/players you picked.
During the week you can swap active players in/out of your team. There is some strategy involved, especially as you start to "know" the players better and can guess what they might do on the show to earn points. Last season I racked up a lot of points on the "gets naked" thing for Jenna and Heidi. This is why Madonna did so pitifully - she wasn't even watching the show.

In the Fantasy League, you are competing with the thousands of other players for the most number of points at the end of the season. There are prizes for the top scorers and they maintain a leaderboard.

In addition, there are tribes, which are just groupings of Fantasy League players. They maintain a tribe leaderboard as well. On the DIS there are usually a bunch of tribes...the WDWWDS being one of them. The tribes are only about bragging rights - no prizes for best tribe score.

I'll let you know when you can sign up on the site.

I have thought that, Sandy...when you see how many points the top players have, you have to think either they are EXTREMELY lucky or they know something ahead of time. They consistently score big every week. I said there's strategy, but there's also a lot of luck involved too.

Oh and Madonna is DEFINITELY on the WDWWDS tribe. Someone needs to bring up the rear and she does a fantastic job!

Cool!! I'm in.

Thanks for explanation OT. I got a great tight end!! Oh never mind - that's the fantasy football.
