I think we've chatted before about Euro football. I'm a big Inter Milan fan (I always seem to go against the grain, don't I?). However, we are on the cusp of NFL season, and I, being a Texas girl by birth, bleed American Football. Each sport has its merits, each sport has its not-so-great aspects. I can't say that any one sport is better than the other - it's an individual decision, nor would I try to persuade anyone else to believe what I believe. But, when it's NFL season, I get tunnel vision... it's all about the oval pigskin. It's all about reading the audibles, it's all about the storied gridiron, it's all about the pads and helmets, it's all about breaking the tackles, it's all about the cheerleaders, it's all about it being 4th and Inches, it's all about throwing the long bomb and dropping to your knees, praying that someone catches it... it's all about the game, baby!

Um - sorry Boss - I'm savin' my football lovin' for someone else.
The scrimmage is going to be played at 7 tonight but will be broadcast tape-delayed at 9 on my local ABC station. I can't wait to watch my Texans show their new stuff against the Cowboys. Their regular preseason game against the 'boys will be played at Texas Stadium (which I must say is a pretty ghetto-looking stadium... and I can say "ghetto" because I live in the "ghetto" right now - JW can vouch for that) on 15 August at 7:00 p.m. Don't expect to hear from me that night.

I was listening to the Bucs game on the way to Epcot this morning. That was very strange, BUT it was still football AND I'll be watching it tonight as well (at least the first quarter when the starters are in).

Mission Space was awesome, rode it three times, walked on each time. I am sure that will NEVER happen again. Off to jump in the shower.

All I can say is bring on the weekly football pool. Now that's what football is all about. Sitting around the tv on Sunday with my football sheet and checking out all the scores so I can collect on Tuesday.

But seriously since DH and I both grew up in New York City, we are a NY Jets household. Used to go to the games until they moved to NJ.

Who'd have guessed we'd move to NJ, now we can follow the jets again. Although as my father would say, "The only NY team is the Buffalo Bills".
