kissses Kimyouarepossible...;)

Ok - I don't want to know anything about Mission:Space any more then the next water drinker (I actually prefer the element of surprise on this one - go figure...)

But one question: In your opinion is Mission:Space better then The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman at IOA?

Kisses M!

M:S is a totally different experience than anything else you've been on. Spiderman is a great ride, to be sure and still one of the best. M:S is just so unique - they only other way to experience this ride is to become an astronaut and go through their training.

Lemme put it this way - the greatest thrill ride in the world is being strapped to a rocket and blasting off into space - there's no twists, turns, corkscrews, loops or camelbacks - but there is no thrill greater.

Yep, they're in Erie for maybe the first 45 minutes of the movie -- before they get signed to the record deal and head out on the State Fair tour. Many of the references in the beginning of the movie (playing the Mercyhurst College dance -- my sister's alma mater), Kohler's beer, many of the stores on the main street, etc. are all Erie references. Then the other half of the movie is in other "locations" (locations with a " ", since I assume it was all filmed in CA somewhere anyways. :p

KP...I am so jealous :p
But glad you scouted out Mission:Space for the rest of the WDWWDS! :p

I have one question as well....How bad is this ride in terms of making people sick? My DW gets queasy on virtual rides such as Body Wars and Star Tours...is M:S going to be a problem? (Though knowing my wife, she'll try to take Dramamine and go anyway...she doesn't want to miss out :p) I guess I just want ot know if she'll have a problem or not...:)

BTW...I don't mind movie quotes:)

And OT...don't be mean and give false info about the death in Harry Potter....:p I'm not going to tell...but I will say I heard the next book is going to be called "Ron Weasley and the Leigon of Doom" :p

TTFN!

Wow Kim, you lucky girl you. I am ever so jealous. I probably won't make it to Epcot until the AP preview and I am already :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc about that.

I'll be in and out today. I'm helping another department get a grant application together that has to go out TODAY(it seems my writing skills are a hot commodity all of the sudden).

Higgs - M:S can be put into the 'simulator' catagory. I would caution your wife though - I wouldn't say it's as bad as Body Wars in the quesy department, but the dramamine might be a good idea.

madonna asked the same thing that I was going to. I think Spiderman is totally amazing, but it is the special effects. For M:S is it the physical effects that make the difference, Kim?

Good morning all. Hope everyone had a good weekend. :)

Hey Its,

Love your tag!!!;) Isn't that tag fairy the coolest!!!

Hey Jas, good luck on your grant writing. It's nice to be a hot tamale isn't it. Oh you said commodity. Ah, same thing!! ;) :D

oh and if you wanna tag me, I'd prefer "The Artist formerly known as..." Thanks in advance.

psst...does this mean that Cathy IS the TF?!? (or one of...)

- imagine - a tag fairy - here - with us 'nimrods - drinking water - could our headquarters BE any cooler?!? :smooth:

The truth is that we'll never know who the TF's are....:)

I'm curious as to the meaning behing my "blue" one..... :)

For M:S is it the physical effects that make the difference, Kim?

CC - Absolutely. I don't wanna give anything away other than the sheer coolness of this attraction. But yeah - it's what physically happens to you. I have always thought space travel was way spiffy - and this is probably as close to it as I'm gonna get - so it was awesome!

It's not Tower. It's not RnRC. It's a unique experience all it's own - so it's hard to compare to other rides.

Oh why oh why was I not there when ITSA was clapping his little butt off so that the tag fairy could add colour to his life. Is it me or do the rest of you have a hard time seeing ITSA going: CLAP:bounce: CLAP:bounce: CLAP:bounce: CLAP:bounce: CLAP:bounce: CLAP:bounce: CLAP:bounce: CLAP:bounce:

Cathy, please tell me, he sent you endless PM's begging for it didn't he:p

Boss,

Are you implying that the tag fairy may be playing favorites????

nono.gif
That is a no- no.

I'm sure ITSA was on his hands and knees begging the tag fairy for his wonderfully colourful tags.

psst Boss - The tag fairies are secret!!!

I don't know Lizzie, when ever ITSA refers to the Tag Fairy, he always leaves out the TAG part! What can he be implying?

As for him being on his hands and knees ....;) :p

Now Now Boss,

Play nice - ITSA is not here to defend himself!!!
