In the News...

Finding Nemo will become the highest-grossing animated film of all time today and Disney is all ready for the celebration.

Since opening May 30, Nemo has grossed $312.7 million, just shy of Disney's 1994 hit The Lion King, which made $312.9 million. Nemo is already the biggest film of 2003.

The two-disc Nemo DVD will hit stores Nov. 4. Among the highlights: a Jean-Michel Cousteau documentary of Australia's Great Barrier Reef, where the film is set; a fish encyclopedia; OUTTAKES; a cool option that allows you to turn your TV into a virtual aquarium; and a sneak peek at the next Disney/Pixar film, The Incredibles, opening November 2004.

You know what's sad - after I went to the AI concert - I was all ready to come back *here* the next day and discuss everyone's performance with you guys - like we use to do after Tuesday night's show...then I remembered that you guys weren't in Toronto at the concert...rotflmbo...

I have about 10 friends around the country that have gone to the concerts and all have commented on the same thing.

The overwhelming crowd favorite was Clay. They all say it's like a beatles frenzy when he comes on stage.

yeah - I compared it to the likes of Elvis...women were throwing up panties and everything (not that I did that or anything)

Truth is - Clay kicked Ruben's you know what. They both sang their new songs, and once again Clay's was better then Ruben's...now I'm not just saying this 'cause I like Clay (honestly) it's just that some 'Luther Vandross/Barry White' cover guy singing a rap song - just doesn't 'work' for me...yes rap, complete with shouts of '205' in the background of the song - it was absolutely dreadful...would love to hear Simon tell Ruben how "he can do no wrong" after he's heard THAT song...

Simon was right when he said on the last show "The real compitition will start when your albums are released on the same day"....Clay is outselling Ruben almost 4 to 1, title or no title - it's pretty safe to say who the favourite is...

My favourite line during the whole show? "I don't know what all this SARS fear in the US is all about - I've been here in Toronto for 2 days and haven't so much as heard somebody cough???" - Clay Aiken - (saying it in that sexy southern accent of his...)

Hey M - don't you just love that southern accent. He was here in NY yesterday because one of the banks here just officially changed over to Wachovia which is a NC based bank. He was at the Stock Exchange with NYC mayor to cut the ribbon. He looked very cute.

Did I say here in NY?? Geez, I've been living in NJ for over a year, that slipped out.

Ricky's first performance (Micheal Jackson's The Way You Make me Feel) was ok... but he did a duet with Julia (If I Never Knew You) and it was REALLY good...

Julia DID sing a song just for OT ("I am beautiful - no matter what THEY say...")

One of the evening's best performance's was Ruben and Clay's duet of Micheal Jackson and Paul McCartney's "The Girl is Mine"

The most pleasant surprise of the evening?? Trenyce...OMG - remember how much I couldn't stand her when the show was on??? Wow - what a voice live!!

And Kimberly Caldwell - was great in person as well...Carmen was disappointing as Shania Twain with "Up" er...she actually kinda ruined the song.

Kudo's to Ruben, Clay and Kim L - who were the ONLY one's who said something to the audience other then 'whatz up Tarontah?'
Clay even spoke in French.

Overall - the show was fantastic! They closed the show with 'God Bless America' - wearing Toronto Maple Leaf jersey's and Julia had on a 'Canadian Idol' t-shirt - that was a nice touch.

psst - oh yeah Lizzie...that Southern Drawl...
