C/P from the FAQ's at WDW site:

Q. Are there any personal items I should NOT bring with me into the Theme Parks?

A. Items that you may not bring into the Theme Parks include, but are not limited to:

Items with wheels, such as wagons, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, two-wheeled or three-wheeled conveyances, strollers larger than 36" x 52", suitcases, coolers, or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations), and any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV wheelchair or stroller

Alcoholic beverages

Weapons of any kind

Folding chairs

Glass containers (excluding baby food jars and perfume bottles)

Pets (unless they are service animals)

In Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park (for the safety of the wildlife), balloons, straws and drink lids are not permitted.

I was just there May 3rd-10th and saw alot of kids with heeleys and also several rolling back backs people were pulling behind them. I never saw a CM say a word. I really wish Disney would enforce their own rules.

maybe I don't understand, but is it really important to take perfume into the parks? I totally understand the baby food having two kids.

Well, as a gal, I don't get the perfume thing either! The baby food is pretty straight forward, but can someone really not go a day without reapplying their perfume? The sad thing is, it's there, specifically mentioned as an exception, so obviously one or more people raised this as a concern. I guess if you see me at the park, just call me stinky, because you can be sure that I will not take my perfume there and reapply it throughout the day!

Tell me more about the heely's. My 2 grandsons have always worn them. They are polite and absolutely do not ever run into people. They have never been asked to take the wheels out. Is this a new rule as we were just there in March and are going back in August.

Run! Run while you can!!

According to Florida state law, it is illegal to wear them at theme parks.

I honestly applaud them. Unfortunately, they are probably in the minority.

My DS7 gets a little wild and crazy just "pretending" that he's wearing heelys... and yet he wonders why I refuse to buy them.

The heelies are against the rules, but sadly a lot of CMs may not even know that. I had a roommie my last CP who worked Innoventions, I think she waged a one woman war against Heelies! There are a lot of reasons they are not allowed or a just plain bad idea:

-Anybody who has been to the parks know that there are quite a few hills and uneven pavement. It is very easy for the child to lose control and fall.
-The parks are very crowded, and a child who is out of control risks hurting others as well as themselves.
-Children develop proximodistally- their limbs grow before the rest of them. This means children have a notorious lack of balance, and the position of the foot required to skate in Heelies puts them even futher off balance. Add the previous points to the equation, and it's a disaster waiting to happen.
-Children are forced to walk on their toes in those shoes and it is not a good idea for long distance walking, it increases the chance of immediate and long term injuries.
-The wheels also affect traction, a bad idea in a place where it rains at least once a day!

Unfortunately, even when CMs enforce the rule, there are plenty of people who will walk around the corner and put the wheels back in as soon as that CM is out of view. I do wish it were better enforced, and better advertised to begin with. It's for everybody's safety.

When we were there in Dec at MK they made an announcment before the park opened that the shoes with wheels were not allowed. If caught parents were fined I want to say $500.
