I believe the next 'big' celebration will be Epcot's 25th (2007). I remember going there in my senior year of HS during it's first year....no wait, I went to "Epcot Center". I even have the guide book to prove it!!
WDW's 35th is this year and will probably takeover after the Happiest Celebration. Disneyland celebrated its 35th, so I would imagine WDW will at least get something similar, if not as big. EPCOT's 25th begins in 2007, and that will probably be a bigger deal

dbm20th, that makes sense! The Happiest Celebration ends 9/30/06, and WDW's 35th anniversary is 10/1/06. I hadn't thought of that. There probably WILL be an extended celebration at WDW for the 35th anniversary that starts that day.

Oh, thank you for that information! I hope they leave the castle decorations up for this one as we don't want to miss them!
WDW's 30th coincided with the "100 Years of Magic" celebrations (we were there in 2002) and I don't think they really celebrated it individually - unlike the 25th's "Cake Castle"
The 35th anniversary. That's what I was thinking of! TY. And personally, I hope they leave the castle ALONE! I want lil Ariels first look to be at the *real* thing, not some weirdo cake thing
I cant wait to celebrate
tink, too, I want to clarify - it wasn't information. I'm just guessing that since they decided to cut off the Happiest Celebration at 9/30/06, they're going to run a celebration for WDW's 35th anniversary. However, that's just speculation on my part - I have no inside info.
As for the decorations, no idea what the castle will look like!
Tim, who, at the risk of being flamed , admits he liked the cake castle!
It wasn't the greatest, but it was different and you will always remember it. The thing I love about WDW is Imagineering and the ideas they come up with. Some of them are good and some are not so good, but I can't stand when things sit the same way in WDW forever.
