I awake to the smell of fresh brewed nothing.My beloved also known as my wife is sleeping soundly.Hey it's Sunday and we're doing the AK.Let's go family juice, toast and coffee and we're good to go.We arrive at the AK at 8:30 a.m. As we approach the parking lot, I get the dreaded arm and finger pointing of the Supreme parking lot CM. As the 7 dwarfs said HI- HO HI-HO it's off to the end of the row.(isn't that how the song goes)We trek up to the park entrance and have a short wait before the gates open.We get to the Tree of Life for the rope drop and are happy to find Safari Mickey,Minnie and Pluto in a truck as they lead us to the Safari.We've seen the Safari 5x but never have we seen the amount of animals as this one.We saw a giraffe so close to us he nearly came on the tour truck as drove along.The Male lion stood supremely and let out a roar on "pride rock" as we drove by.The rhinos were very close as well.One of our best safaris ever!We did KRR and have never gotten that wet in the past.MY family of 6 boards the raft and another family arrives with ponchos and baggies over their sneakers(I whisper to my wife that they're a little anal and you guessed it I get soaked and thay're as dry as the desert.
(LOL)WE see the LK show (love that A/C now that it's enclosed) and Pocohantas.We see ITTB and head out at 1:30 p.m. for our afternoon break.We go swiming back at our villa when the heavens open up and I mean open.THe rain was like out of a movie it poured for several hours.We've used AP's for our last several trips his trip we're using 5 day PHP's.I'm not wasting a pass on a 1/2 days touring.MY wife is pleading not to go out but stay back at the villa.I win out and we go off to buy tickets to Medieval Times for later on in the week.We purchased our tickets and it's still raining I tell the wife it's a great time to go to the MK.She thinks I'm NUTS as we can't see the front of the van in the deluge.We make it to the MK parking lot and we're given kayaks to get to the TTC(only kidding).As we get off the monorail at the entrance to the MK, it stopped raining.All the better for us now because the park is empty.we do Dumbo,Philarmagic,Pooh and Buzz with no wait.Philarmagic is FANTASTIC!!! THe animation and special effects are great.Wishes is scheduled for 8:30 this night and we ha have the bridge to Tomorrowland all to ourselves.The Wishes show has my wife and daughter in tears and I'm not afraid to say I shed one myself.We stay for the Kiss Goodnight and close the Emporium on Main st.We leave the MK and arrive home at 10:30.Our day really was special and we go to sleep tired but happy.More to come as tackle MGM.
