...It would be real interesting if they were now only allowing the discounts to "slip" through for the 8/21 - 10/06 timeframe vs. the dates later in the year. Has anyone recently tried (last day or two) to make reservations for the late Oct/Nov/Dec dates without having a pincode and been successful?

I did! Well yesterday (3/11) I was able to get the code for Dec.12-16 at CR for about $250 less than I was already booked for at WL for the week before. I didn't care about changing my dates by a week to get the discount.

Just wanted to laugh at the title of this thread "WDW will NOT accept "codes" if you do not have the postcard" which is hilarious. It's been a while since i've found such a boldly false statement posted on the boards and just got a laugh when i stumbled across this thread.

I've got no postcard, no PIN, but i DO have 40% off for AKL in December, thereforeby making the title of the thread FALSE. LOL

Last 2 trips i've received a discount i've NEVER been asked for the postcard or any type of code that i used to make the reservation.

me too!! I booked over the phone a couple of days ago, used a code number, no need to bring any proof of it, had to change my planned dates by 2 days to get the 40% off as they were all allocated on my riginal dates but am VERY happy to be off to the AKL for 11 days with DDP and 10 day pass for 3K.

god love those codes and getting a lovely lady on the phone who liked my accent and I had a nice chat with to Disney ..... never thought you could get a deluxe hotel with all those extras for that money .... EXCELLENT!!
