Photo Contest Rules

Pictures should be as original as possible with minimal editing. This is a photography contest, not a photo editing contest.


Entries for this contest must be received no later than 10pm EST on July 2nd.

Voting will begin on July 3rd!!

Okay, not the most original of pictures...but it has special meaning for me. It was our first trip ever to the world and the day after our Disney wedding. My new DH and I were wearing our wedding ears and Cindy saw us and mouthed "Congratulations" to us...it was soo cool!

I had just gotten a new camera and hadn't quite gotten the hang of taking pictures at night. Hardly any of our parade pictures came out but I thought this one captured the creepiness of the Halloween Parade perfectly!

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade is my favourite of those currently on offer at WDW and I've seen it quite a few times. In May last year, I got myself in a prime photo-taking position. I managed to get quite a few shots that I like and, given that many of them are full of vibrant colour, I'm not quite sure what it is about this that I like so much, but I do...

This one was taken during our latest trip. I took it with the new Canon Powershot S2. I love everything about this picture! The castle is in the background, The movie projector on top of the globe is showing and centered, Mickey is looking straight ahead. I am currently using this photo as my wallpaper.

after looking at the pictures posted above, I'm withdrawing myself from the contest this time around. I've seen at least 3 pictures that are both technically and visually FAR FAR FAR better than any of my parade shots.

Maybe not one of the best, but certainly not one seen very often. From the 2005 MVMCP Parade, and yes, they were really playing the instruments! They also sounded cool with the extra large bottom on their boots (which is VERY hard to march in!).

Share a Dream Come True parade. This same Wendy and Peter Pan had just spent quite a bit of time interacting with my son only minutes before the parade started. I'm amazed at how quickly they get around.

Aztec Man strikes a pose on World Showcase Promenade during "Tapestry of Nations" (to me, the best parade EVER).

This was my first WDW trip with a dSLR and I was having a ball!
1/10 second (monopod) with built-in flash (2nd curtain).
