Now there is a tragedy...Patrick Roy was one of the best goalies ever to play the game...I'm with you Boss....it is a huge loss for the game....:(

I posted an article from ESPN on the previous page. It really is a sad day for hockey. He is still a tremendous goalie who I enjoyed watching.

Even though I'm a Bruins fan...I have always liked Roy....he killed the Bruins sometimes....but I always rooted for him afterwards (hey, I DO need to stick with my team...)

Besides, how could you not like him...he played for the greatest team in Canada....THE MONTREAL CANADIENS :)

Hey Higgs buddy, although I do agree with you on that you might want to say something about Madonna's Toronto Maple Leafs.

She thinks they are the greatest in Canada but what does she know. Habs Rule

Higgs - I am not trying to critique your spelling...but you spelt the greatest hockey team in Canada wrong, it's - TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS...;)

LOL Boss...I humor (or is it humour??) Madonna....it's kinda cute how she keeps sticking up for the little leafs...:)

...it's humour (Real English - not slang)...little? little Leafs? Why I outta...

Hi guys, thought I'd check back in on this thread now that AI is over, since I never had anything to contribute while it was on. But what's this? Now you're talking SPORTS??? I'm sorry that I don't have anything to contribute there, either....you all seem like really nice, fun people but I just can't get into your conversations! LOL Maybe this stay at home life I lead is just a little too sheltered.

What did I do today? I planted some flowers in the front of the house. I packaged up 15 sold ebay items to be shipped out. I celebrated my son's last day of school by taking him and his little sister to Taco Bell for lunch, and eating it at a city park and then watched them play together on the playground. There's something very sweet about watching an oh-so-cool almost 7th grader playing with his 2 year old little sister. Then we went for an ice cream at Dairy Queen.

Now I am thinking about what to make for dinner; hubby gets home at 5:00, and trying to catch up on the boards. My hobbies are gardening, playing with the kids, thrifting, ebaying, cooking, and yard sailing. I don't watch TV regularly, except for Survivor and it's not on right now. We're going camping this weekend in our new trailer that we got last summer.

Pretty darn mundane, huh.

OK Blu, you want something to talk about, huh?

Are any of the clothes you're selling used? We usually just give away clothes that we don't want. I never thought of selling the stuff. How about shoes that have never been worn? Imelda has some shoes that she just had to have, but never wore, laying around in the box.

As for not watching AI....you've seen the heated discussions here...are you sure you want to get into this?

Mundane?? I don't know if I'd call yard sailing mundane. I mean that's quite a feat to be able to transport your whole yard back and forth to the water, let alone navigate it using wind power.

How does one keep the ants off peonies? Do you have a butterfly bush and did your's die this winter too?

7th grader and a two year old...that's quite a range. Sort of like having a live-in babysitter.

And finally, what's for dinner?

Oh , great. Here we are trying to debate which sport is better and which goalie is better and Blue tries to ruin this thread with a note of sanity.

How can you call DQ ice cream? Haagen Daz is ice cream. Ben and Jerry's is ice cream. DQ is frozen custard :)

The days of Hulk Hogan. I loved that guy.

LOL, OT! Well, MOST of the clothes I sell are previously worn. If you have brand name stuff, and it's in good condition, I'm sure that it would sell. Shoes are the same. New with tags will bring the most money, but barely worn and in excellent condition isn't bad, either. I just got $18 for a pair of Aigner dress shoes that were barely worn. It's better than donating it, for me.

Yardsailing has been my preferred way of spelling the word for a long time. I figure I'm sailing from sale to sale. LOL

Don't have peonies, don't have a butterfly bush, sorry! I grow roses, clematis, poppies, columbine, tomatoes, and assorted annuals. Oh, and we also have a water garden and the lillies are just starting to bloom.

Yes, my son is wonderful with Aurora. Here's a pic from today at the playground.

And I think spaghetti is for dinner. Probably 6:30ish. Garlic cheese bread, too. Salad on the side. I'd better get busy, huh?

Thanks. :)

Sandy, DQ isn't my favorite place for ice cream, but it's cold and it's cheap. Only $1.60 for a hot fudge sundae. LOL

Ummmmmm... where oh where to begin??
Hockey - some people around here are quite passionate about hockey - maybe the hockey-lovers who've already posted will get a little back-up tonight or tomorrow on that. I'm fond of a certain #18. But that's just me.;)
Football - Here in Texas, all babies are born with footballs in their hands. It's a way of life - and don't expect to hear from me on Sundays and Monday nights during football season. It's like "church" to me. Go Texans!
Soccer (aka Futball) - Love the sport. Love Inter Milano (team in Italy for those not in the know). Love our US Women's World Cup Team. Passion, raw emotion, continuous action... good stuff in my book.
Anything I missed of significance to me? I don't think so. Loved my holiday - had a fab, fab time... can't wait to do it again.
