*a whoa - a whoa oh...*

Ok - we are back...LIVE...on *American Idol Buh-Bye*...It is still being aired; despite 3 NHL playoff series games in game 7...

I just want to make a quick reminder to all players of tonight's show. The celebrity judge tonight will be Dianne Warren. What? Who is Diane Warren???

Diane Warren’s songs have transcended genre. Her number one Adult Contemporary hit "If You Asked Me To" has been recorded not only by Celine Dion, but also by R&B diva Patti LaBelle. Her song "Don’t Turn Around" has been recorded by eight different artists – from Tina Turner to Ace of Base. Her number one pop hit "I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing" performed by Aerosmith for the movie Armageddon not only received an Oscar nomination, but simultaneously hit number one on the country charts with a version sung by Mark Chestnut. Additionally, Diane’s song, "How Do I Live," recorded by both Trisha Yearwood and LeAnne Rimes, was not only a number one hit that won Yearwood the Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance, but also carries the distinction of being the longest running song in the history of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Diane’s songs are featured in more than 60 motion pictures. She had a number one international hit with "Can’t Fight the Moonlight" performed by LeAnne Rimes and featured in the film Coyote Ugly. Diane continues to diversify. She recently joined forces with rock band The Cult, who recorded "Painted On My Heart" for the film Gone In Sixty Seconds. Bounce starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck featured "Need To Be Next To You" performed by Leigh Nash of Sixpence None the Richer. The Family Man showcased "I Don’t Know How I Got By" performed by Edwin McCain. With an uncanny ability to create the perfect song for any scene, whether it calls for a love ballad or rock anthem or up-tempo groove, it’s no wonder that Diane continues to receive accolades. To date, Diane’s songs have been nominated for three Golden Globes, five Academy Awards, and eight Grammys.

I think it will be a FANTASTIC show!!!
*a whoa - a whoa oh...*

I'm glad I missed this show. Though I was flipping through the channels and did see Josh. :D

Whitney Houston, a holy roller...yeah and I'm the pope. What a total moronic idiot. Well now I know what will get me to the gates of heaven, hand me some pot please.

I watched the show, but missed the comment by Ternyce. Maybe that's because I washing washing the dishes when she came on (I have absolutely no interest in her).

The order of the performances was interesting. It was girl-boy: Carmen, Josh, Kimberly, Ruben, Trenyce and Clay. I don't think CLay being last was a coincidence at all. They know who is popular and what would keep viewers hooked to the end.

I saw a bit of the Clay "interview". Did it seem like he and Ryan were flirting?

"Not that there is anything wrong with that."

Funny thing Geo - I noticed the same thing, and for the same reasons you mentioned - I was expecting Ruben to be last...I would think that between the 2 - he is the *fan favourite*? But maybe it is Clay?

Hey Jas - for someone who said that they "will be skipping this one tonight. I think Fox is trying its best to kill off AI. I HATE over-promotion." it seems you caught quite a bit of the show (you closet AI watcher you!!) ;)

So seeing Josh sing (and I didnt' even watch all of that) and Clay's interview constitutes watching most of it? Really it added up to less than 5 minutes. Commercials on other channels and was flipping around. Still over promotion. I stopped on the Clay interview because he and Ryan were looking so chummy. Do guys usually sit like that? ;)

OK...I must admit...I did not watch the AI Monday special...I did something more valuable...watched "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" on DVD instead...

Sounds like I'm glad I missed it....you see...If I had heard Trenyce describe Whitney Houston (my absolute least favorite singer in the history of recorded music...BTW) as a "Holy Roller" I would have thrown the remote through the screen...and since I can't afford another TV right now....glad I missed that...

Please America...Trenyce must go!

Anyway...so tonight is Diane Warren...huh?

She has some good stuff....but 2 things...

1) She is responsible for the godawful theme song to the new Star Trek show "Enterprise"...just a terrible song...

2) With apologies to Aerosmith....the best performace of "I Don't Want to Miss A Thing" is in by Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate, and a host of others in the movie "The Sweetest Thing"...watch the scene...and I guarantee you will never hear the song the same again (I would describe the scene...but there is no way to do it on a family board) :)

OK...off to get ready for (Hopefully) Trenyce's last show tonight :)

God you are feisty. I think I'm in love:eek: ;)

I predict the bottom 3 to be Carmen, Josh, and Trenyce.
I think it's Carmen's week to go buh-bye.

God, someone give ML a nudge...I think her needle's stuck...sounds like a broken record. Yeah reacord, as in vinyl, as in the big scratchy thing before CD's.

This was the best I've ever heard Carmen. With the Randy/Simon slam, I predict her fans will push her into safety. Bottom three will be Josh, Trenyce and Carmen, with Trenyce going bye bye.

BTW, this was Josh's WORST week. He's going the wrong direction, while Kimberley (ugh) Locke is getting better and better. Still the two best (now that Julia is gone) are Clay and Ruben.
