WDW Water: Still sweet and pure!!

Fear Factor is also fun, but in a weird way, kinda sick too.

The worst or best part of it is, I'm often eating dinner while the show is on.

gotta disagree with you Higgs. I think that Clay consistently gives a good solid singing performance, and many of the others have been hot and cold. I think that he picks songs that suit his style and range, and poor choices have proved disastrous for a few of them. Whether or not you like his style, looks, and mannerisms, you must admit he comes through as expected week after week with a voice bigger than life.

And as an extra bonus, he has cool hair.

My apologies to the "quieter" posters on this thread. Okay so there are a couple of you Clay-fans around.

yah...sorry...I've been very busy with work and wedding stuff and now we're buying a house and closing three days before the wedding......ugh

So anyway....Clay is amazing even if there are others who disagree with me. I can't wait to see what he sings tonight.
If we all had the exact same taste in music the world wouldn't be very diverse and many of the musicians would be out of a job.

P.S.
It was announced on our local news that we will have a Clay day. The date is still to be determined by the major of Raleigh.

What a coincidence, toobee!! I'm going to have a Julia Day. So far she hasn't responded to any of my requests for a meeting, but I'm sure she will.

All right people in an effort to make this my own and to raise the bar dawg, here I am, the fill-in Virtual Seacrest. The "other" Seacrest didn't leave me where she gets her info so I'm kind of winging it. Anyway, everyone notice my very ugly shirt? Yeah I think the Fox people want to disprove my listing in People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People issue. Anyway, as long as Clay likes it, I really don't care (oops there goes the flirting with Clay thing, darn it). Our Celebrity Judge tonight is Robin Gibb so it looks like the kids will be singing a Bee Gee's tune. For the second song, I have no clue, but I am leaning toward Judge's Choice. Maybe Simon would like to fill us in. No? I guess he's in a real mood tonight. Nevermind, something about HATING having to deal with the celebrity judges, that it's bad enough dealing with Paula's cheerleading. Okay moving on. We are down to our last four idols, everyone please welcome Ruben Studdard, Joshua Gracin, Kimberly Locke and Clay "turn down the stage lights and turn up the spotlight" Aiken.

I wonder where that freaky sound is that the OTHER virtual Seacrest always makes. Something like aaaa-ooo-ahhh.....

Isn't Robin Gibb the one that just died?? Whoa how gruesome! I'm sure he's well on his way to being worm food.

Just as long as Josh doesn't attempt "Stayin' Alive"...:p

AI:

Josh - Ruined "Jive Talking" and warbled through the other song.

Clay - First song - snooze city, "Grease" was horrid - it blew and he should not try to dance.

Kimberley - Bland first song; even more bland second song. Bleh.

Ruben - "Nights on Broadway" is a personal favorite of mine (I still have the 45 record) and he rocked with it! Then he went back to his old formula for the second song, so I took the opportunity to grab a nap.

Bottom 2 - Josh and Kimberley
Buh-Bye - Josh

Josh - I missed "Jive Talking", but thought he did pretty good on the second one..good contrast to Clay's version with the country sound.

Clay - I thought his first song was great. "Grease" was just ok. The boy can't dance so Paula should shut up with her requests for him to do that. In fact Paula should just shut up.

Kimberley - Bland first song; even more bland second song. Bleh...AP had it right.

Ruben - I'm the opposite on Ruben. I don't think he did Night on Broadway justice. That just has to be sung in that BeeGees high pitch, doesn't sound good any other way. His second was much better.

Bottom 2 - Josh and Kimberley

I'll go with Josh, but only because I think they'll play with the votes so it's not three guys in the end. I actually think Kimberley will get less votes.

Oh, and I guess Robin wasn't the dead one.

OT - I had forgotten to mention how good Robin looked for being dead and all.;) Rest in peace, Maurice.

Hi everyone,

I have my computer back. YEAH!!! I've missed you all. I'm leaving Thursday night for our night by the airport and then it's off to WDW Friday mornng.

AI --

I think they all did OK.

CLAY WAS GREAT!!! (and I say that as I'm wearing my clay fan hat I just bought)

Kim L. was disappointing. But I'm not a fan of hers so it doesn't matter to me.

I think the bottom 2 will be Josh and Kim L. Judging from last weeks' voting. I'm saying Kim L. will go bye bye. Josh has too strong a fan base.

Jas, I'll PM you my picks for next week.

I've missed you all,

Liz

Good Morning all! Well that was scary when Josh picked me and ran through the audience. YIKES. I had to go and sniff some gel to calm myself down. Nice to see the votes coming in.

Takes off the Ryan hair and ugly shirt.

My take on it is that I want to say Kimberley L. will be gone tonight, buh bye, but I am scared that the vote is going to be manipulated to keep a girly around. I was not crazy about either of her songs. Josh's first one wasn't WONDERFUL, but it was better than he had been doing. His second song was awesome and poor Clay who needs to be banking on his first song, was shown that while he did great on the same song as Josh it really wasn't that special. Now to really get people talking Clay will be in the bottom 2 (and he should be for the jacket and shoes alone, come on all red heads know you don't wear red. Where are they getting their fashion advice from????) Ruben's first song was just ok but his second one was awesome. Based on that and the fact that his fans are still all upset over last week, he is safer than safe.

So I am torn. Kim L. should be the one to go. Clay could actually be in the bottom two, and what a stir that would cause. Josh should be around one more week, but he has that male thing going against him in the possible manipulation of the vote. I have to think on this one some more.

Puts on the Seacrest hair and ugly shirt:

Kimdonna emailed me "their" vote of Kimberly L. I am still figuring out what Boss said on this thread, I think he said his vote is for Josh.

Ok so far:

AP/OT/Boss: Josh
Kimdonna/Lizzie: Kimberely L.
Jas: Undecided as always

Waiting for Higgs, 2Be, Mlcar (if she decided to change her vote), Nicole (if she decided to change her vote), Jwill, gometros, and whoever else I am leaving out that I don't mean to. :)

I think the outcome all depends on one thing.....

how many times Nicole voted for Clay with her autodialer.

Oh crap I almost forgot.....

 Hi

Oh and I dunno what happened to BluOrchid, but she had some beginner's luck last week with her picks.
Of course she's in tornado zone, so there's probably other stuff to worry about. Sorry Blu, we don't do pixie dust around here...we're all allergic to the stuff. But we'll sprinkle some nice Splash Mt '95 water on you in hopes the twisters stay away.

Ok I'm thinking I want to get blue glasses like Robin (not the dead one) Gibb.

Oh I didn't even think of the tornadoes. :( And it figures I left someone out.

I have purple glasses, maybe I will branch out to blue as well, they did look cool.

I enjoyed last night's show. Clay's perfomance of grease was the first time I thought he didn't do all that well. But that's okay, even the great ones have a stinker once in a Blue Moon :)

I like Kimberly L. and thought she did a great job. Josh was the best he's been in a while. Ruben was okay, but OT is right, he doesn't have the voice or range to do Bee Gees.

I'm going for the Hail Mary to gain some ground and say Kimberly L. and Ruben in the bottom two, with Ruben getting voted off tonight. I'm just going on te voting last week and the effect the show's demographics can have on the voting.

I dunno....I still love Clay. The first song was wonderful and I love grease so I thought he did a very "cute" rendition of it. They nag him not to be so serious and get fuss when he takes their advice. Oh well.
Rubin...good as usual
Kim....so so last night. Still like her though
Josh....didn't impress me but better than last week

So...I'll say Josh and Kim in the bottom 2 this week....with Josh hopefully going home.

Jas - I have some pink glasses - if we stood in a row with our tinted glasses we could make a rainbow. Or just look silly. Whichever.
