First off, I have to say how thankful I am for all your pixie dust and prayers. My DH, who says I spend entirely too much time on these boards, was amazed at all of you. He is finally a believer.
Just got back from another trip to the vet. Snowie is a little better. He's been on IV fluids and some antibiotics since yesterday. The blood tests, have not come back yet, but everything else seems to be ok. They just ordered a test for Addisons Disease, which presents with the same symptoms as Snowie is showing. It is a chronic condition but quite manageable.
Bottom line, they still don't know what we're dealing with. Could be pancreatitis, gastritis or who knows. Not that the money is an issue, but some $800 later, we still don't know what this is.
This vet hospital that I use, doesn't have overnight medical, so I keep having to take him to the emergency clinic when they close so he can be monitored. I wish I had known this when we picked them out. Needless to say my neighbor just recommended another vet, but I have to wait to get snowie well first.
I'm so stressed about this, I don't know where to begin. I leave for WDW in 11 days and he was supposed to be boarded at our kennel. Now if he's not better, I have no idea what I'm going to do.
I'm such a wreck that now I've pinched some nerve in my neck and can't move my right side. I'm a mess.
Well, thank you again, I can't begin to explain how much you all mean to me. Sometimes people think I'm crazy when I talk about my DIS friends, but you guys always come thru.
