Just did 7 days in WDW followed by a 4 day DCL Dream cruise.

While I LOVE WDW, and I hate to say this, I think I love DCL even more. There's just so much less to plan, and so much more "me" time. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, but with WDW trips its all about making the kids happy. With DCL, we can all be happy doing what we all like, which may be 4 different things at 4 different places, all at the same time.

it's definitely a LOT more relaxing on the ship!!!!
i love WDW more, but for pure laid back relaxation, where you can just do nothing at all and know your kids are having fun, no place better than DCL...

I agree with you. DCL is one where someone else can be the decision maker/planner. My kids enjoyed the kids' clubs and at dinner, the server would cut their food or give them ketchup! While I still had the urge to do a lot (there's so much to do), but it was way more relaxed.
I love the way you feel so taken care of on a cruise.

I always tell people, that IMHO a cruise is a perfect family vacation. Everyone gets to spend time together doing things as a family and then sprinkle in some separation time and you have a perfect mixture.

Totally agree, no aDR's No trying to find food for kids and then a seat to eat in. No rushing around. ahhhhh

Yeah we caught our "Disney Bug" on our first Disney Cruise. It will always be our favorite way to vacation. We love WDW, but the only place we would rather be would be DCL...

Curious how was it doing activities as a solo adult.
I keep considering DCL as a solo travler (although I sometimes start Disney planning and a friend or my mother joins me) but not sure how i would feel about excursions and activities. You have kind of made me think that it may not be as big an issue.
