We are fortunate enough to get to go to the World around 2x /year. Decided to book a first week of Jan trip and meet friends & do DDP. Friends had 4 dining ressies so we added to that (Cape May b'fast, 1900 b'fast, Le Cel lunch, Chef M dinner) but now we have one left. It will be DH,DD9&DD6 and I'd like to try something different around MK or Epcot....the above fare is perfect for my picky group & may just settle for Cape May for dinner as we all like. Any suggestions for a PICKY group (meat & potatoes in other words) besides what we have. btw...It will probably be a NEW YEARS DAY or DAY AFTER meal & it seems availability is pretty high right now still....

Thanks to all!

I always think that in this case, and especially if each person has different specific foods that they restrict themselves to, then buffets are the safest option. The selection is usually sufficiently varied that they will satisfy most preferences. I see that of the ADRs you mention, most are already buffets.

How about CP at MK or Biergarten at Epcot? Garden Grill and LTT dinners are family style, but you could check the menus and see if it is something the family would eat.

Biergarten is a fun place. The band is very entertaining and the atmosphere is lively. The food would satisfy a picky meat and potatoes eater.

Crystal Palace at MK is a buffett. It also has Pooh and Friends there. We have done both breakfast and dinner. They are both buffets with pretty general items. (The puffed french toast on the children's buffet at breakfast is wonderful) We usually eat at Crystal Palace at least once every trip.

I think the buffet at Crystal Palace in MK fits the bill.

It is very much like Chef Mickey's in it's food selection. There is a difference, but it is slight. For instance I can eat at both places and not feel I ate at the same restaurant. But I also feel the foods/dishes are similar.

So that is where I would try and it is in the location that you wish.

As for Epcot, I tend to think of 99% of those restaurants to lean more to a specific culture....and for picky eaters that spells trouble. ;)

I definitely agree with Biergarten, LTT, and Garden Grill. We often travel with a very picky eater, and those places would work for him. Also, Teppan Edo is basically meats and noodles and our picky eater LOVES it.

Will your picky eaters eat pizza? If so, Via Napoli is really good. There's pasta for the kiddos but authentic Italian pizza for others. Plus, the aqua frescas are to die for.

Ohana at the Poly or Whispering Canyon Cafe over at Wilderness Lodge. You could do breakfast or dinner at either one of these depending on your schedule and what you want to eat. I will say dinner is a better "value" on the DDP.

Our must do is Trail's End for an evening at Fort Wilderness. Good salad bar, ribs, fried and grilled chicken, carved roast, potatoes, veggies, pizza, mac & cheese, chili or soup, cornbread and for dessert - make your own sundaes with fixins, cookies, rice crispy treats. Nice and relaxed and same food as Hoop De Doo, except no strawberry shortcake :sad1:

Make a reservation for around 7:30, then go watch Wishes on the beach at 9 and the Electrical Water Pageant at 9:40. Nice, relaxing evening.

If you wouldn't mind venturing to the Wilderness Lodge, Whispering Canyon is a great time with great food. The skillet has chicken, pulled pork, brisket, corn, and potatoes. You also get a dessert and that chocolate cake is great!
