Okay. I am a WDW vet here and need some help. I want to get away for Thanksgiving and yes I can go back to WDW (since we have annual passes) but I want an adventure. My fiance can get a city pass that includes 3 day park hopper to Disneyland and California Adventure plus admission to Universal, Sea World and San Diego Zoo.

I am wondering how the crowds are. I am thinking leaving the east coast in 11/23 after my fiance gets home from work and coming back on 11/27. I would love to see Christmas decorations up. And I want to get away and never been to CA so I really want to go. I'm hoping I can find a hotel and crowds aren't that bad.

TIA

Crowds will be a little mixed over that period. Bad, tolerable and light.

I'm not sure you will want to do CityPass with that few days to cover all of those sites. I'd surely give DLR at least 3 full days over that time period. That doesn't give you much more time. USH and SW could be skipped if you can do USO and SWO on a Florida Visit. The SD Zoo and the Safari Park the other CityPass options are both great, you may want to see one of them.

You might want to read the DLR guide for WDW vets.

I would pass on Universal and SeaWorld they are both vastly inferior to their Orlando counterparts. I'd suggest sticking to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. You will probably encounter average crowds those days. The Christmas decorations, parade, and fireworks are truly Magical. Best time of the year to go. Moderate crowds and moderate temperatures.
