Very interesting that we didn't have a Dis winner until 1/21 and in 7 days we now have 5...that is crazy! Hopefully we'll have quite a few more before the contest is over and all of the winners are notified!

Came home today to a FedEx door tag saying I had a package that couldn't be delivered without my signature. They will try again tomorrow. We aren't expecting anything so I tracked it, and it's coming from Orlando! I've been lurking on the boards, so I know Ventura is in NY, and the few winners we're had received emails this year, so chances are this is just a really cruel coincidence right? I'm overly excited, and need some sense talked into me!

I can try to talk you down but I know if I was in your shoes it'd be hard.

I'll repeat what you said - Ventura is in NYC and everyone else so far this year has been contacted by email. So...it's probably not the winning ticket.

But...you never know!!! Maybe your email got bounced back and they sent you a FedEx package and it came from Orlando because it was routed from NYC through FL to get to you

Just to answer some ?'s I have entered almost every day, the last day I entered was either last Thurs. or Fri. can't remember. And I have entered at random times throughout the day.
Hope this helps someone! So excited to now be confirmed!!! Waiting patiently on the next step!

So excited!! We received an email last night from Ventura Associates saying we WON!!! I've been entering every day hoping to win a honeymoon trip and WE DID!!

To the other winners: Have they told you anything about the "black out dates" or the hotel choices yet? We're going to select WDW for our trip and it would be wonderful to stay at a nice resort (not that they aren't all nice, but ya know ) especially since this is our honeymoon. We're also only going as a couple (not the 4 people that are allowed) so I'm not sure how that will effect the package.
Any advice?

Congrats!!! I was married and spent my honeymoon at Disney. The Grand Floridian resort were AMAZING to us! Lots of special surprises!

None of the correspondence from Ventura stated the date we won for. I entered almost everyday, but I know I missed a day or two here and there. As far as getting a FedEx or UPS package, they actually emailed us the documents to print, get notarized, and return, so no physical package ever came to our door.
I'd love some suggestions as to which hotel you all think would be best for a honeymoon (assuming we get a choice). We've only stayed at the Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs before.
We're waiting to tell our friends and family until we actually hear from Disney and have some specifics. I'm dying to tell everyone though! It's so exciting!!

Congratulations!!! What a wonderful honeymoon you will have! As far as resorts go, it depends on what you are looking for. If you want over the top indulgence, and to be on the monorail, Grand Floridian it is.

However, if you want to be mobile, in an area with restaurants and two clubs, than Boardwalk Inn (or Beach/Yacht Club) would be a great option. It's within walking distance to Epcot, short ferry ride (or walk) to Hollywood Studios, and the vibe of the boardwalk is so much fun.

Nothing about dates yet, we were told we would be contacted in 15 days or less to plan our trip! From what I read in the fine print it is your choice if you take fewer than 4, but there will be no compensation for the spots you don't fill. Hope that makes since. I read all the stuff last night until I thought my eyes would cross.

Congratulations!!! What a fabulous honeymoon! We went to Disneyland as a part of our honeymoon and loved it. As far as your hotel recommendations, I have never stayed at any of the resorts, so take my suggestions with a grain of salt, but I think I'd want to stay at one of the Epcot resorts. If we were to win now I would try for one of the monorail hotels, as we have young kiddos, but for an adults-only honeymoon trip, I would be all about those Epcot resorts. Have fun with your planning and please continue to share details for us poor, lonely non-winners.

Congrats to all the winners - about time we had some around here. I also think it is funny that we had no winners for weeks and now so many in just a few days. Makes me wonder if they are notifying folks in groups.......and maybe (hopefully) running behind schedule.
